SHEBA(Saba')
By the reality of The One To Serve/Allah The Beneficient The Ever Giving.
1. Praise be to The One To Serve/Allah, to Whom belongs everything in the
universe and the earth; and praise be to The One in the Hereafter. The
One is the Wise, the Expert.
2. The One knows what penetrates into the earth, and what comes out of
it, and what descends from the sky, and what ascends to it. The One is
the Merciful, the Forgiving.
3. Those who are not convinced say, “The Hour will not come upon us.” Say,
“Yes indeed, by my Regulator, it will come upon you. The One is the
Knower of the unseen.” Not an atom's weight in the universe and the
earth, or anything smaller or larger, escapes The One’s knowledge. All
are in a Clear Record.
4. That The One may recompense those who are convinced and be
productive. Those will have forgiveness, and a generous provision.
5. As for those who strive against The One’s revelations, seeking to
undermine them—for them is a punishment of a painful plague.
6. Those who received knowledge know that what is revealed to you from
your Regulator is the truth; and it guides to the path of the Majestic, the
Praiseworthy.
7. Those who denies said, “Shall we point out to you a man, who will tell
you that, once torn into shreds, you will be in a new creation?
8. Has he invented a lie about The One To Serve/Allah, or is there madness
in him?” Indeed, those who are not convinced in the Hereafter are in
torment, and far astray.
9. Do they not reflect upon what lies before them and behind them, of the
universe and the earth? If The One accords, The One can make the earth
cave in beneath them, or make pieces of the sky fall down on them. In
that is an indicator for every devout servant.
10. The One bestowed on Daud favor from The One: “O chief of
men/mountains, and noblemen/birds; echo with him.” And The One
softened iron for him.
Jiim-Ba-Lam = He (God) created him with an adaptation/disposition by nature. He compelled him against his will. He (or they) came/went/betook himself to the

-widespread use of iron weapons which replaced bronze weapons
-ancinet near east this transition took place in the 12th century BC
-technology spread throughout the Mediterranean Basin region
-to South Asia (Iron Age in India) between the 12th
/11th century BC
Character -production of tools/weaponry by ferrous metallurgy (ironworking)
-more specifically from carbon steel
-mass production of tools and weapons made from steel
-typically alloys with a carbon content 0.30% and 1.2% by weight
-only with the capability of the production of carbon steel
-ferrous metallurgy tools/weapons that are superior to bronze
-steel based on economics and metallurgical advancements
-early steel was made by smelting iron.
11. Make coats of armor, and measure the links well; and work honesty. I am
Observant of everything you do.

12. And for Sulaiman the wind—its outward journey was one month, and its
return journey was one month. And The One made a spring of tar flow
for him. And there were invisibles that worked under him, by the leave
of his Regulator. But whoever of them swerved from The One’s
command, The One makes him taste of the punishment of the Inferno.

-caleed jinny as they are invisibles
Their function? -produce energy through cellular respiration and chloroplasts
-their main functions are cleaning up the residues
-bacteria ingested proteins are digested
-nutrient cycle includes the decomposition of dead bodies
-bacteria are responsible for the putrefaction stage in this process
-bacteria provide the nutrients needed to sustain life
-converting hydrogen sulphide and methane to energy
-live in symbiotic & parasitic relationships with plants and animals
-important in sewage treatment and the breakdown of oil spills
-production of cheese and yogurt through fermentation
-recovery of gold, palladium, copper and other metals in mining

13. They worked for him what he wished: digest foods/sanctuaries and
convalescence the injured/sick/statues and fermented food/bowls like

14. Then, when The One decreed death for him, nothing indicated his death
to them except an earthworm eating at his staff. Then, when he fell down,
it became clear to the invisibles that, had they known the unseen, they
would not have remained in the demeaning torment.
?? -the invisibles do not know the future
-only The One knows
15. In Sheba’s homeland there used to be a wonder: two gardens, on the
right, and on the left. “Eat of your Regulator’s provision, and give thanks
to The One.” A good land and a forgiving Regulator.
16. But they turned away, so The One unleashed against them the flood of
the dam; and The One substituted their two gardens with two gardens
of bitter fruits, thorny shrubs, and something of sparse lote trees/sidrah.
Ma’arib flooding -the ancient dam
-was one of the engineering wonders of the ancient world
-central part of the Sabaean and Himyarite kingdoms
-archaeological findings, dams were constructed around 1750 BC
-Yemen recognized as magnificence of its water engineering
-from the Red Sea coast to the limits of the Empty Quarter Desert
-numerous ruins of small and large dams made of earth and stone
-failure of the dam, the migration of up to 50,000 people
-from Yemen to other areas of the Arabian Peninsula
-even to the Levant
17. The One thus penalized them for their ingratitude. Would The One
penalize any but the ungrateful?
18. Between them and the towns The One had blessed, The One placed
prominent towns, and The One made the travel between them easy.
“Travel between them by night and day, in safety.”
Between towns? -Ma’arib – Sana’a – AlHudaydah
-Ma’arib – Dhamar – Mocha
-Ma’arib – Bayshan al Qishab – Ataq
-there are many town surrounding Ma’arib
19. But they said, “Our Regulator, lengthen the distances of our journeys.”
They wronged themselves; so The One made them history, and The One
scattered them in every direction. In this are lessons for every steadfast
and appreciative person.
Scattered? -the dispersal of kigdom of Sheba
-they are history
20. Instinctive brain/Iblis was correct in his assessment of them. They
followed him, except for a group of the convinced.
21. He had no authority over them; except that The One accords to
distinguish him who are convinced in the Hereafter, from him who is
doubtful about it. Your Regulator is Guardian over all things.
22. Say, “Call upon those whom you claim besides The One To Serve/Allah.
They possess not an atom's weight in the universe or the earth, and they
possess no share of either, and The One has no backers from among
them.”
23. Intercession with The One is of no value, except for someone The One
has permitted. Until, when fear has subsided from their hearts, they will
say, “What did your Regulator say?” They will say, “The truth, and The
One is the High, the Great.”
24. Say, “Who provides for you from the universe and the earth?” Say, “The
One To Serve/Allah. And either you or we are rightly guided, or in evident
error.”
25. Say, “You will not be asked about our misdeeds, nor will we be asked
about what you do.”
26. Say, “Our Regulator will bring us together; then The One will judge
between us equitably. The One is the All-Knowing Judge.”
27. Say, “Show me those you have attached to The One as associates. No
indeed; but The One is The One To Serve/Allah, the Powerful, the Wise.”
28. The One have only sent you universally to all people, as a herald and a
warner; but most people do not know.
29. And they say, “When is this promise due, if you are truthful?”
30. Say, “You are promised a Day, which you cannot postpone by one hour,
nor bring forward.”
31. Those who deny say, “We will never convince in this Quran or in what
came before it.” If you could only see the extremists, captive before their
Regulator, throwing back allegations at one another. Those who were
oppressed will say to those who were arrogant, “Were it not for you, we
would have been convinced.”
32. Those who were arrogant will say to those who were oppressed, “Was it
us who turned you away from guidance when it came to you? No indeed,
you yourselves were criminals.”
33. And those who were oppressed will say to those who were arrogant, “It
was your scheming by night and day; as you instructed us to reject The
One To Serve/Allah, and to set up rivals to The One.” They will hide their
remorse when they see the retribution. The One will put shackles around
the necks of those who reject/deny. Will they be repaid for anything
other than what they used to do?
34. The One sent not warner to any town, but the affluents say, “We reject
what we are sent with.”
35. And they say, “We have more wealth and more children, and we will not
be punished.”
36. Say, “My Regulator spreads out The One’s bounty to whomever The One
accords, or restricts it; but most people do not know.”
37. It is neither your wealth nor your children that bring you closer to The
One, but it is he who are convinced and does productive works. These
will have a double reward for what they did; and they will reside in the
Chambers, in peace and security.
38. But those who work against The One’s revelations, seeking to undermine
them—those will be summoned to the retribution/punishment.
39. Say, “My Regulator extends the provision to whomever The One accords
of The One’s servants, or withholds it. Anything you spend, The One will
replace it. The One is the Best of providers.”
40. On the Day when The One gathers them all together, then say to the
Powerful Agent, “Was it you these used to serve?”
41. They will say, “The Performing One; You are our Regulator, not them.
In fact, they used to serve the invisibles, and most of them had conviced
in them.”
42. “Today, none of you has the power to profit or harm the other.” And The
One will say to those who did wrong, “Taste the agony of the Fire which
you used to deny.”
43. When The One’s enlightening Verses are recited to them, they say, “This
is nothing but a man who wants to divert you from what your ancestors
used to serve. And, they say, “This is nothing but a fabricated lie.” And
when the Truth comes to them, the blasphemers say of the Truth, “This
is nothing but plain magic.”
44. But The One gave them no book to study, and The One did not send
them any warner before you.
45. Those before them also denied the Truth, yet they have not attained one
tenth of what The One had given them. They rejected My messengers,
so how was My disapproval?
46. Say, “I offer you a single advice: devote yourselves to The One To
Serve/Allah, in pairs, or individually; and reflect. There is no madness in
your friend. He is just a warner to you, before the advent of a severe
punishment.”
47. Say, “Whatever wage I asked you for is yours. My wage comes only from
The One To Serve/Allah, and The One is Witness over all things.”
48. Say, “My Regulator projects the truth. The One is the Knower of the
Unseen.”
49. Say, “The truth has come; while falsehood can neither originate, nor
regenerate.”
50. Say, “If I err, I err only to my own loss; but if I am guided, it is by what my
Regulator inspires me. The One is Hearing and Near.”
51. If you could only see when they are terrified, and there is no escape, and
they are seized from a nearby place.
52. And they say, “We are convinced in it.” But how can they attain it from a
distant place?
53. They have rejected it in the past, and made allegations from a far-off
place.
54. And they were barred from what they desire, as was done with their likes
before. They were in disturbing doubt.

Refreshed Al-Quran (Sheba).docx

  • 1. SHEBA(Saba') By the reality of The One To Serve/Allah The Beneficient The Ever Giving. 1. Praise be to The One To Serve/Allah, to Whom belongs everything in the universe and the earth; and praise be to The One in the Hereafter. The One is the Wise, the Expert. 2. The One knows what penetrates into the earth, and what comes out of it, and what descends from the sky, and what ascends to it. The One is the Merciful, the Forgiving. 3. Those who are not convinced say, “The Hour will not come upon us.” Say, “Yes indeed, by my Regulator, it will come upon you. The One is the Knower of the unseen.” Not an atom's weight in the universe and the earth, or anything smaller or larger, escapes The One’s knowledge. All are in a Clear Record. 4. That The One may recompense those who are convinced and be productive. Those will have forgiveness, and a generous provision. 5. As for those who strive against The One’s revelations, seeking to undermine them—for them is a punishment of a painful plague. 6. Those who received knowledge know that what is revealed to you from your Regulator is the truth; and it guides to the path of the Majestic, the Praiseworthy. 7. Those who denies said, “Shall we point out to you a man, who will tell you that, once torn into shreds, you will be in a new creation?
  • 2. 8. Has he invented a lie about The One To Serve/Allah, or is there madness in him?” Indeed, those who are not convinced in the Hereafter are in torment, and far astray. 9. Do they not reflect upon what lies before them and behind them, of the universe and the earth? If The One accords, The One can make the earth cave in beneath them, or make pieces of the sky fall down on them. In that is an indicator for every devout servant. 10. • 5. 15. In Sheba’s homeland there used to be a wonder: two gardens, on the right, and on the left. “Eat of your Regulator’s provision, and give thanks to The One.” A good land and a forgiving Regulator. 16. But they turned away, so The One unleashed against them the flood of the dam; and The One substituted their two gardens with two gardens of bitter fruits, thorny shrubs, and something of sparse lote trees/sidrah. Ma’arib flooding -the ancient dam -was one of the engineering wonders of the ancient world -central part of the Sabaean and Himyarite kingdoms -archaeological findings, dams were constructed around 1750 BC -Yemen recognized as magnificence of its water engineering -from the Red Sea coast to the limits of the Empty Quarter Desert -numerous ruins of small and large dams made of earth and stone -failure of the dam, the migration of up to 50,000 people -from Yemen to other areas of the Arabian Peninsula -even to the Levant 17. But they said, “Our Regulator, lengthen the distances of our journeys.” They wronged themselves; so The One made them history, and The One scattered them in every direction. In this are lessons for every steadfast and appreciative person. Scattered? -the dispersal of kigdom of Sheba -they are history
  • 6. 20. Instinctive brain/Iblis was correct in his assessment of them. They followed him, except for a group of the convinced. 21. He had no authority over them; except that The One accords to distinguish him who are convinced in the Hereafter, from him who is doubtful about it. Your Regulator is Guardian over all things. 22. Say, “Call upon those whom you claim besides The One To Serve/Allah. They possess not an atom's weight in the universe or the earth, and they possess no share of either, and The One has no backers from among them.” 23. Intercession with The One is of no value, except for someone The One has permitted. Until, when fear has subsided from their hearts, they will say, “What did your Regulator say?” They will say, “The truth, and The One is the High, the Great.” 24. Say, “Who provides for you from the universe and the earth?” Say, “The One To Serve/Allah. And either you or we are rightly guided, or in evident error.” 25. Say, “You will not be asked about our misdeeds, nor will we be asked about what you do.” 26. Say, “Our Regulator will bring us together; then The One will judge between us equitably. The One is the All-Knowing Judge.” 27. Say, “Show me those you have attached to The One as associates. No indeed; but The One is The One To Serve/Allah, the Powerful, the Wise.”
  • 7. 28. The One have only sent you universally to all people, as a herald and a warner; but most people do not know. 29. And they say, “When is this promise due, if you are truthful?” 30. Say, “You are promised a Day, which you cannot postpone by one hour, nor bring forward.” 31. Those who deny say, “We will never convince in this Quran or in what came before it.” If you could only see the extremists, captive before their Regulator, throwing back allegations at one another. Those who were oppressed will say to those who were arrogant, “Were it not for you, we would have been convinced.” 32. Those who were arrogant will say to those who were oppressed, “Was it us who turned you away from guidance when it came to you? No indeed, you yourselves were criminals.” 33. And those who were oppressed will say to those who were arrogant, “It was your scheming by night and day; as you instructed us to reject The One To Serve/Allah, and to set up rivals to The One.” They will hide their remorse when they see the retribution. The One will put shackles around the necks of those who reject/deny. Will they be repaid for anything other than what they used to do? 34. The One sent not warner to any town, but the affluents say, “We reject what we are sent with.” 35. And they say, “We have more wealth and more children, and we will not be punished.”
  • 8. 36. Say, “My Regulator spreads out The One’s bounty to whomever The One accords, or restricts it; but most people do not know.” 37. It is neither your wealth nor your children that bring you closer to The One, but it is he who are convinced and does productive works. These will have a double reward for what they did; and they will reside in the Chambers, in peace and security. 38. But those who work against The One’s revelations, seeking to undermine them—those will be summoned to the retribution/punishment. 39. Say, “My Regulator extends the provision to whomever The One accords of The One’s servants, or withholds it. Anything you spend, The One will replace it. The One is the Best of providers.” 40. On the Day when The One gathers them all together, then say to the Powerful Agent, “Was it you these used to serve?” 41. They will say, “The Performing One; You are our Regulator, not them. In fact, they used to serve the invisibles, and most of them had conviced in them.” 42. “Today, none of you has the power to profit or harm the other.” And The One will say to those who did wrong, “Taste the agony of the Fire which you used to deny.”
  • 9. 43. When The One’s enlightening Verses are recited to them, they say, “This is nothing but a man who wants to divert you from what your ancestors used to serve. And, they say, “This is nothing but a fabricated lie.” And when the Truth comes to them, the blasphemers say of the Truth, “This is nothing but plain magic.” 44. But The One gave them no book to study, and The One did not send them any warner before you. 45.
