To whom it may concern
I wish to express my eagerness to start in a position as a Graduate Engineer and continue to
develop my career. I Graduated from Griffith University with a Bachelor of Civil Engineering in
December 2014, since 2012 I have had a variety of roles and responsibilities within 3
construction companies; VEC Civil Engineering, Lend Lease and Abigroup Contractors.
I have had multiple roles supporting Project Managers ensuring effectiveness, risk
management and compliance with legislation, policies and procedures. These roles have
included; project administration and compliance, maintaining quality records within project’s
HSEQ / Integrated Management System, maintaining safety documentation and implementing
safe working methods.
My most recent role was as a Graduate Engineer for VEC Civil Engineering, I was with them
for fourteen months’ working in Central Queensland on a fly in fly out, 3 weeks on 1 week off
roster, accumulating over 60 hours a week. Whilst with VEC I have worked mainly on
Queensland Rail infrastructure, including the following projects;
 Central West Line 22 Bridges, July 2015 – January 2016
 North Coast Line Redbank and Cabbage Tree Creek Bridges, March – June 2016
 Young Street Bridge Repairs, February – Current 2016
As an Under Graduate Engineer I worked for two years as a Cadet whilst studying full time.
During my Cadetship, I worked for Abigroup Contractors (eighteen months) and Lend Lease
Group (six months). My experiences included;
 Brisbane City Hall Restoration, July 2012 – February 2013
 G42 Griffith University New Business Building, February 2013 – September 2014
 Industrial Affiliates Thesis Project, Abigroup Contractors, February 2013 - July 2013
