est city of Guangdong Province in southeastern Chi-

part of the Silk Road. There are thousands of typical
Lingnan Gardens with unique decorations comparing

Liwan Lake Park is situated in the Lizhiwan Creek,
part of the Old Downtown Guangzhou. The histo-
ry of Lizhiwan Creek can be traced back to the
Han Dynasty (206 BC – 25 AD) and it was listed
as one of the eight scenic spots in Guangzhou,
the Ram City, as Fisherman Singing at Lizhiwan
(Lychee Bay) in the Ming Dynasty (1368 --1644).
It is connected with the north part of Pantang dis-
trict and the west part of the old residencial and
financial area.
The park is surrounded by several main roads
and subways. Also it is one of the largest open
space in this area.

Analysis
Based on the site analysis, the
park will serve as a wetland
park to create an extraodinary
place for the brids and animals,
and a relaxing open space for
people to walk around the lake,
enjoy fresh air and do some
activities such as fishing and
dancing.
To accomplish the goal, this
design use the method, cre-
ating wetland and filtrating
the water to keep it clean and
fresh, to shape the park.
Analyze exist watercourse of the lake
Combine seperate watercourse into
one large lake
Add multiple wetlands and large
islands to slower the speed of water,
and provide the habitat for birds and
animals
