4. Impact to the brain due to the
bike accident/ symptoms
• A biking accident that leads to a head injury can cause
internal bleeding and bruising in the head. Common
symptoms from head injuries include: bleeding, loss of
balance, black and blue bruising, repeated vomiting,
concussion, slurred speech, harsh breathing, loss of
consciousness and many more. Head injuries are serious
and can lead to long term damage and can result in
delayed development. During the impact of the head
injury victims can experience TBI and never lose
consciousness.

5. Why does damage to the
frontal lobe dangerous?
• The frontal lobe of the brain is responsible for humans
emotional control center and no other lobe that
experiences lesions would cause as dangerous symptoms
as the frontal lobe. It is in charge of motor functions,
problem solving, impulse control, judgment, language,
memory, and many other important functions of our
bodies. That is why an injury to the frontal lobe would be
so destructive to our overall function of our bodies.

6. Behavioral and emotional
changes after accident
• Victims who experience severe brain injury can
experience long term behavioral and emotional changes.
The frontal lobe is responsible for our actions and
emotions and damage to this area can alter normal routine
functions. They can experience no self control, anger,
aggression, irritability, and many more. Many experience
frequent mood swings.
