APT Group was founded in the 80s and continues to grow as a specialist
entity in the fire-safety training sector.
The experience, which we have matured over the years through contact
with various public and private sector organisations, has allowed us to
expand the services, which the group offers today. Amongst these are
to be found consultancy and specialised professional assistance for the
implementation of safety measures and norms in working environments.
In addition there are those of a more technical nature relating to the
realisationoffire-safetysystems,routineandsupplementarymaintenance
of fire-prevention installations and personal safety devices.
In 2013 the APT Group companies were formed into a Business Network
to respond to the clients’ need for one sole point of contact and a
“unique-solution” for the many diverse challenges in the sector.

Our mission is to remain the bench-mark for operators/professionals in this sector
both in Italy and abroad, through studies, research and development, in order
to constantly renew the array of services that we are able to offer: professional
development and training; technical assistance and maintenance; specialist
consultancy and correlated fire-prevention activities; planning and implementation
of fire-prevention systems.
We realise ad hoc solutions; made to measure for the needs of every single client,
thanks to the diverse competencies available in our group.

3. More specifically, APT Antincendio leads the field in the training sector,
having the most important training centre in Italy, developed over a surface
area of over 30,000 m2, and boasting: simulators and avant-garde
resources including a multi-storey edifice to practise evacuation drills;
a covered swimming pool with a wave and rain generator to recreate
the most adverse meteoric conditions; a didactic complex built in 2013
covering more than 14,500 m2 that houses laboratories, conference
rooms, offices, classrooms and special training rooms furnished with
Medical Emergency equipment.
The Training Centre hosts over 10,000 students annually who take part
in drills to practise evacuation, fire-fighting, abandoning ship, working at
height, working in confined spaces and medical emergencies.
Apt Antincendio also offers its clients the opportunity to take advantage of
distance learning and to receive funding.
APT Antincendio S.r.l. was founded in Pavia in 1979 thanks to the
foresight and intuition of its founder Dr. Achille Torti. Due to many years of
experience, the company has condensed it’s know-how into professional
development and training activities able to simulate innumerable accident
scenarios and to produce the kind of courses which are in conformity with
many different National and International protocols and which confer
internationally recognised attestations.
The multiple training courses are aimed at the following sectors: onshore,

The course takes place over 3 days: 12 hours of theory
and 4 hours of practical drills.
FIRE PREVENTION OFFICER COURSE FOR

The course is designed to give Fire-fighting Training to

The participants are required to demonstrate how much
of the training course they have understood.
The course takes place over 8 hours comprising 5 hours
of theory and 3 hours of practical drills.
FIRE PREVENTION OFFICER COURSE FOR

The course is designed to give Fire-fighting Training to
delegated Fire-Prevention Officers.

The course takes place over 4 hours comprising 2
theory lessons and practical drill lessons.
EMERGENCY TEAM COORDINATOR
COURSE
The Emergency Team Coordinator course is designed
around the following topics:

The course takes place over 8 hours, subdivided into 6
hours of theory lessons and 2 hours of practical drills.
HELIPORT AND AIRPORT FIRE-SAFETY
OFFICER COURSE
The course is designed to give Fire-fighting Training to
delegated Fire-Prevention Officers at airports, heliports
and helipads.
The course takes place over 4 days, subdivided into 24
hours of theory lessons and 8 hours of practical drills.
SAFETY AND EMERGENCIES IN CONFINED
SPACES COURSE
The course is aimed at operative personnel, supervisors
and emergency team members involved in rapid entry
and extrication in confined spaces.
The course takes place over 24 hours at our training
centre or on the client’s premises and is comprised of 8
hours of theory lessons and 16 hours of practical drills.

5. APT ANTINCENDIO SAFETY AT WORKSAFETY AT WORK
WORKING AT HEIGHT AND USE OF PPE III
CAT. FOR RISK OF FALLING FROM HEIGHT
The course is aimed at all personnel who are exposed
to risk of falling from height due to the nature of their
work.
It takes place over 8 hours at our training centre or at
the client’s premises and is comprised of 4 hours of
theory lessons and 4 hours of practical drills.
ROPE ACCESS TRAINING COURSE
The course is aimed at all personnel who are exposed
to risk of falling from height due to the nature of their
work.
The course takes place over 32 hours, of which 12
hours are in theoretical training and 20 hours are spent
on practical training.
FORKLIFT OPERATION & SAFETY COURSE/
AERIAL LIFT PLATFORM TRAINING COURSE
The self-propelled forklift operation with driver on
board and the aerial lift platform operator are in fact
occupations, which require specific qualifications.
The Forklift operator courses take place over 12 hours
while the courses for the various types of aerial lift
platform operators last for 8, 10 or 12 hours.
PREPARATORY COURSE FOR QUALIFYING
FOR THE USE OF TOXIC GASSES LICENCE
The licence to qualify for using toxic gasses is the
prescribed document to qualify for and carry out
various operations employing, storing, conserving or
transporting toxic gasses.
The course is comprised of 24 hours of theoretical
instruction.
COURSE FOR PREVENTION OF AND
PROTECTION FROM DANGERS
CORRELATED TO THE PRESENCE OF H2S
Hydrogen Sulphide is a petrol by-product produced
during the extraction, processing and channelling of
crude oil. It’s vital therefore to understand the impact
of H2S on occupational health and safety. The course
takes place over 8 hours: 6 hours of theory and 2 hours
of practical drills.
ADVANCED COURSE FOR EMERGENCY
FIREFIGHTING TEAMS
The course is designed to provide advanced fire fighting
training for Emergency Fire fighting Team Members.
The course takes place over 32 hours, of which 16 hours
are spent on theory and 16 hours on practical training

EMERGENCY SIMULATION FOR
COMPANIES AT RISK OF SERIOUS
ACCIDENTS
This activity lasts a day and is designed to provide
advanced training for personnel employed in the
Emergency Team to verify the efficacy of their internal
Emergency Plan.
The activity is made up of a theoretical part dealing with
the adoption of intervention procedures and practical
training through simulation of a real life scenario (TOP
Event) as indicated in the Company emergency plan.
RESCUE AT HEIGHT PRACTICAL TRAINING
COURSE
The course is aimed at Emergency Team Members and
is structured to provide advanced training for accident
intervention. The course made up of a theoretical part
dealing with the adoption of intervention procedures
and practical training in a real-life simulation as
stipulated in the Company Emergency Plan.
PRACTICAL TRAINING COURSE FOR
RESCUE IN CONFINED SPACES
The course takes place over 8 hours and is designed to
provide advanced training for personnel employed in
the Emergency Team that should intervene in accidents
in confined spaces. The course consists of a theoretical
part dealing with the intervention procedures to adopt
and practical training in a simulation of a real-life
scenario as provided for in the Company Emergency
Plan.
COMPANY FIRST AID OFFICER COURSE
DM 388/03
The course is designed to provide theoretical and
practical training to personnel delegated as Company
First Aid Officers.
The course takes place over 16 hours for Group
1 companies and over 12 hours for Group B and C
companies.
COURSE IN CARDIO-PULMONARY
RIANIMATION AND EARLY DEFIBRILLATION
FOR LAY RESCUERS
The course teaches the intervention strategy for carrying
out Cardio-Pulmonary Reanimation (CPR) and gives
instruction on the use o fan Semi Automatic External
Defibrillator (AED). At the end of the 5-hour course
we issue Accident and Emergency Services Authorised
certification in the use of AED along with American
Heart Association Certification
COMPANY FIRST AID OFFICER SIMULATED
INTERVENTION
This 8-hour activity is designed to provide training for
personnel employed in the First Aid Team and to assess
the efficiency of the Internal Emergency Plan.
The activity consists of a theoretical part dealing with
the intervention procedure to be adopted and practical
training in a simulated scenario.

11. APT Services was formed in 1983 as a specialised consultancy company
for fire-prevention and fire-safety in the workplace. Its staff includes every
kind of certificated fire-fighting professional.
The company is also licensed to install, adapt, expand and maintain
(routine and supplementary maintenance) all types of fire-fighting systems
and safeguards including those containing fluorinated gas (F-GAS
certified).
In addition to having a highly specialised maintenance department for
every kind of fire-fighting systems/equipment and 3rd category PPE
(Personal Protection Equipment), APT has over the last ten years brought in
expert professionals for the planning and installation of fire detection and
extinguishing systems, both for On-Shore and Off-Shore environments,
being also a Certified RINA and ABS maintenance provider.

Apt Services carries out market research and testing of fire-fighting
equipment, apparatus and PPE at the APT Antincendio testing ground,
taking into consideration every single possible requirement. Included
amongst its various consultancy activities is the technical advice and
support that enables clients to choose the most suitable apparatus for their

Due to this activity over the years APT has established excellent
collaborations and partnerships with the principle operators and
manufacturers in the sector and has subsequently become their main
authorised distributor and/or workshop.
