• Switching between
Joystick/foot pedal control
2. Joystick Control
JS6000 Friction Hold
• Work Functions
• Showcase the ease of integrating Danfoss
hardware utilizing Plus+1 software
• Buttons control decks (raise/lower)
• Allows the removal of Toro TEC4001 micro
• Propel
• Switch between pedal and joystick drive
commands
• Friction hold acts as a “cruise” function
• Safety logic needs to be true to switch
(pedals/joystick in neutral, control switch
active ect.)

9. Project Goals (in order of importance)
Control Work Functions with Danfoss Joystick
Remove TEC4001 micro and install Danfoss OX-024 module
Control deck solenoids with joystick buttons
Remove deck control switches and mount joystick on armrest
Control Propel System with Danfoss Joystick
Safe Seamless switching from pedal command to joystick command
Traction assist control mapped to joystick trigger
Install Danfoss Display
DP200 to communicate over CAN1 to SC50
Display vehicle gauges speed, engine RPM, fuel level, engine coolant/oil
temp, ect.
User interface to select ‘Joystick Mode’
10. What I learned:
I have learned/was exposed to an incredible amount my first 2 months at
Danfoss, including:
The Business Side
• How global companies operate
• Communication between global branches
• Cultural differences
• Standards within Danfoss (primarily safety)
• Internally ordering our products
• Product lines/manufacturing processes
• Team Engineering
• Large project breakdown to manageable segments
• Team based deadlines
• Global meetings discussing long term department goals
11. The Technical Side
• Controller Area Network
• Physical layout in machines
• Make up of messages being transmitted/received
• Theory was incredibly interesting
• Plus+1
• Programming microcontroller logic
• Graphical interface made programming very easy
• Simulation
• Simscape/Simhydraulic Hardware-in-the-Loop simulation using CAN
• Hydraulic Systems/Danfoss components
• Better understanding of Hydraulic System Engineering
• Opportunity to look at schematics and then at actual hardware in ADC
• Working on Machines
• Safety when working on machines in ADC (LOTO)
• Tearing apart machines and rewiring
• Retrofitting our Danfoss products in place of the old machine’s products
