are product uses conventions
from real media products.
The first way is………

3. Tense music
 The music we used in our Thriller product
was short and tense which built up the
tension to show something will happen to
the main character.
 And a lot of real thriller products use some
sort of tense background noise or music to
show something bad may happen.

4. Small and confined spaces.
 Thrillers use small and confined spaces so
make the character of the show or film feel
trapped or isolated this is used to make the
character scared and to show they will
probably die.

5. A perpetrator and a victim.
 In our thriller product we have the main
character (Fred) who has been tied up by
someone and is probably going to die.
 So Fred is the Victim which leads us to
other Conventions such as there is usually
always some sort of death in a Thriller.

6. Camera shots and angels
 Thrillers use a lot of close up shots or
extreme close up shots.
 They use a lot of close ups to show the
emotion of fear in a character.
 They may use a extreme close up to focus
on a specific object of importance.

product goes against normal

 In a lot of thriller products there are a
perpetrator and a victim but usually the
perpetrator is male and the victim is female
but in our product it’s the other way round
as the male is the one to die.

 In a lot of thrillers and horrors the female is
the one to usually die which shows them as
the weaker sex but in our product the
female is the one who has authority and the
one who makes the threats so we have
developed a countertype in our product.
