Genre analysis

2. The genre that I have selected for my film is the Horror thriller
genre this is one of the best and intense genres in film making
which requires a lot of camera work skills.
Horror is a deep fear that strongly influences the dislike of
something. Horror films are made to make to create fear among
the audience and to create a lot of suspense as the audience
desperately waits what will happen next. These horror films can
have an effect of mental of paralysis. This is when the audience
will feel shocked and unable to move from what they have seen..
They do this by playing on the audiences most primal fears.
They often have scenes which may startle the audience through
supernatural or macabre. Horror films also usually overlap the
thriller genre Horror film is a genre that aims to create a sense
of fear, panic, alarm, and dread for the audience. These films are
often unsettling and rely on scaring the audience through a
portrayal of their worst fears and nightmares. Horror films
usually centre on the arrival of an evil force, person, or event.

3. Many Horror films include creatures such as ghost, vampires,
zombies. It depends on the style . Horror films include a lot of
suspense. Horror films connote who is the ghost ,zombies or evil
or who is good . There are many sub genre of horror movie such
as :-
Teen-Horror: In this the story is based on a teenager or a bunch
of teenagers. These movie consist of large casting and there is a
clear hero and heroine. It is basically on teenage issues such as
not getting good grades in education or dating and it is then turn
into thriller and suspenceful situations. There are many
examples of it such as scream, I was a teenage were wolf and
sleep away camp.

4. Zombie is a genre of horror movies and in zombies movies the
humans are dead from the dead and they become mindless.
These zombies just love blood and they find humans to eat
them. Zombies films revolve around how these zombies are
struggling how they find humans and try to eat them. The
people become zombies if a zombies person bites him/her.
Zombies movies does not only fall in horror genre but also in
science fiction and thriller generes as well. There are some
examples which include Dead snow, Zombie land and Night of
the living dead

5. Comedy-Horror combines comedy with traditional horror movie
themes and characters and scenes . Because of the subject
matter, Comedy-Horror films can cross over into the Black
Comedy sub-genre. Comedy-Horror films aim to scare the
audience, but also provide comical outlets that let the audience
laugh at their fear. Some examples include beetle of juice , Shaun
of the dead .

6. In these type of movies I tells us about the struggle between the
monsters and the human beings .Often in this the monster
either comes from the sea or it or been created from a wrong
experiment. The monster is being like a villian in this movie
and he is trying to destroy whole city and the humans are trying
different things to stop him or prevent him. Then it shows how
hero saves the city from getting destroyed. These movie also
falls in fantasy and thriller genre as well. Examples : Godzilla,
Aliens

7. Most of the time settings of the horror movies is in dark and
horror enviourment to create a scare among the audience .
Horror movies can be shooted in daytime but night will be more
suitable . Horror movies are usually made in places like a
damaged buildings the structure is very old of it. The setting
creates the mood eventually. If a horror movie is being made in
sunlight so it wont be as haunted it can be it wont impact the
audience so much. The horror movies are most of the time made
in old mine field, schools, huge forests , weird houses where
people don’t like to live.

8. Audience expect some characters to be in horror movies and
believes they are must such as ghost , zombies , animals , mental
people and even the enviourment or as demonstrated in final
destination , fate. There is always a characters or some
characters who are haunted down and they try to save them
selves. Some dull people are also shown who gets captured in
the beginning of the movie to provide the audience
entertainment. There is also clever characters who finds
solutions of how to escape from the killer or to attack him .

9. The clothes used in this are usually dirty or torn. If it’s a killer so
he will be wearing some crops such as mask on his face or his
teeth will look much bigger and haunted. Weapons in this are
used such as guns , bloody knives , household objects and clubs.
T he sound used in horror movies creates a different effect they
try to increase more tension among the audience. There is an
audio sequence which most of the audience recognize. Like if a
door is being opened so that that sound will be more stretched
.Whenever the audience listens the buildup they soon realize
something is going to happen . There are many examples of
other musical instrument that are subconsciously identified by
the audience. A long deep tone might indicate tensions or a
rapid panic amongst the people.
