2. THE FACTS:
Aubrey Graham, also known as Drake or Drizzy, is a 25
year old Canadian artist. He began acting on the television
series Degrassi but then became known after the release of
several mix tapes which launched his career as a rapper.
After signing with another well known rapper, Lil Wayne, he
released his first album on June 15,2010 called “Thank Me
Later”. His album went platinum and inspired him to
produce another album called “Take Care” and was
released on November 15, 2011. This album hit the top of
the charts in the United States and Canada. Drake doesn’t
just produce record breaking albums, he also writes songs
for Alicia Keys and Jamie Foxx and continues to pursue his
acting career in the film Ice Age: Continental Drift.

3. MUSIC STYLE:
As talked about in many magazine articles and online
reports, Drake’s music is mostly written about his fame and
past relationships. An article called Allmusic said, “ Drake’s
mood in his music can be described as searching,
thoughtful, confident, dramatic, humorous, laid-back,
literate, warm and playful.” Most of his work incorporates
both rapping and singing, which makes him a unique artist.

5. OPINION:
I think Drake’s an amazing artist and actor. The way he
expresses his feelings about relationships and his personal
life is completely different than any other rapper. He
connects with his listeners by understanding and creating
songs based off of what’s happening in his life and in theirs.
Like most other artists, some don’t like his work and
describe him as “overrated”.
