2. WHO AM I?
Adjectives that best describe me:
● Eager
○ I am extremely eager to try new things, especially hobbies.
● Responsible
○ I turn in all my assignments on time. Also, I can be relied on to
remember anything.
● Polite
○ I always try to be personable and treat people respectfully.
3. How My Personality Helps Me Be
Successful?
● Very high standards for my work and am never satisfied unless it is the best in my eyes.
● Great listener that likes to work
with people and will give anyone
advice when they ask for it.
4. Interest - Job
★ Optometry- I plan to pursue this as my career.
○ Researched this career and eyes intensely over the years.
○ Planning to attend Ferris State University in about four or five years to
take classes to become a Optometrist.
○ Want to have my own optometry office in the future.
○ Am half-blind myself, always wanted to help others
with sight problems.
5. Interests - Family & Road Trips
★ Spending quality time with my two younger sisters, my
grandparents, and my dad.
★ Playing video games and watching TV together.
★ Road trips all over America.
○ Camping, hiking, swimming, and sightseeing.
○ Yellowstone National Park, Mount Rushmore and Washington Monument.
★ We have a least one
road trip every
summer.
6. Strength - Communication
➢ I can easily calm my family and friends down in stressful
situations.
○ Simply by just talking to them.
● I discovered this strength when my younger sisters
started to stress really bad about school.
○ Give advice on how to deal with it.
● Once I already dealt with something first, I can easily
help others with it later.
■ Good skill to have in the future.
7. Strengths - Acceptance &
Initiative
● Accepting - Always been able to put myself in other
people’s shoes to understand their problems.
o I do not judge people because I understand that
everyone is different.
● Initiative - I am a self-starter that does not like to wait
on a project that I could start now. I also prefer to be
ahead of due dates.
8. Goals: 1 Year
● Enroll into the University of Michigan-Flint’s Undergraduate Program.
● Hopefully find part-time employment as a medical assistant.
o To gain experience in medical offices while I am studying.
9. Goals: 5 Years
● Transfer to Ferris State University’s doctoral program after four or less years at UM-Flint.
o Helps achieve my goal to be an Optometrist.
o Makes my interest to help people more possible.
● Possibly start planning to move to
New York for easier transportation options.

10. Goals: 10 Years
● Doctoral Degree achieved.
● Finally have my own Optometry office.

realized.

11. How will I get there?
First Step
● Apply to UM-Flint before
December 2014.
o Apply for scholarships.
o Get students loans.
● Find and apply for employment.
o Anything medical related.
● Being very responsible already will help me
through this step.
12. How will I get there?
Step Two
● Receive Bachelor’s Degree from UM-Flint.
● Apply to Ferris State University.
o Research university.
o Get accepted?
o STUDY!
● Start searching for homes and jobs in New York to
move to after Ferris.
o Start saving money.
● Business and Life Management class will help me plan
the move.
13. How will I get there?
Step Three
● Finally settle into a home in New York.
o Find a great realtor.
● Research locations for Optometry office.
o Purchase.
o My family will help me to reach this life-time goal.
● Use most everything I learned in college to have a great Optometry office.
