 It’s a task all media institutions need to
perform when creating a new product
to launch onto the market be it a
magazine, film, album, websites etc.
Why is it important to companies?
 It allows companies to narrow down their or
find their target audience or customers, so
they can get the best results and profits.
What are Demographics?
 Explain “who” your buyer is. Information includes gender,
age, income, marital status
What are psychographics?
 Is the study of personality, values, opinions, attitudes,
interests, and lifestyles. It’s analysis of consumer lifestyles to
create a detailed customer profile. It explain “why” they buy
What is socio-economic Table (include a picture)?
What is Young & Rubican’s Table (incl an image)?
