9. O Lord our God, the God of Israelites, You
love all people and your mercy and grace is
upon everyone.
You have counted the least and unworthy
people like us and gave us message of
great joy. You are our Lord and savior; we
thank you for the great news revealed to
us. O Lord, we are just mere people never
thought about this, neither counted in the
society nor respected by the people.
10. We had no privileges to hear about you
and had no opportunities to visit your
temple. But O, Our God, you are so
awesome and gracious to us sending your
angels and making us to see your son
Jesus, the Messiah our Savior.

took the child on his arms and praised
God saying;
Sovereign Lord as you have promised
and you have fulfilled. I have seen
your salvation, a light for revelation to
the gentiles.
12. Being a Jews saying this is great that
he understood clearly that messiah is
light to the Gentiles. Simeon was
waiting for the spiritual redeemer
who can redeem the people from the
bondage of sin. He was waiting to see
a spiritual Messiah who will save His
people from their sins. It was a
blessing for the priest to see a savior
born on earth.
13. He praised the Lord and breathed his
last breath in the fulfillment of God’s
promise. He lived, in the Lord for the
Lord and died in the Lord remaining

a woman pre-eminently. She served
God with fasting and prayers night
and day -- self-denial, profound
devotion, continual watching. Her
expectation was fulfilled and He
praised the Lord for favor on His
people.
16. Lesson to learn:
How is our celebration? How is our praises
today?
Is it meaningful praises with great joy of
the Lord in our hearts or just formal
service?
Many believers celebrate Christmas in a
normal way without any blessed and
divine meaning. Spiritual sense of
celebrating Christmas is slowing down in
the lives of the many believers today.
17. Let our celebration be meaningful and
witnessing of our Lord Jesus Christ. Let us
acknowledge that Jesus is our savior, who
born on this earth to save us from sins. Let
cultivate Jesus’ like characters in our lives.
Let us witness of the good news of Christ
as the angels, Simeon and Anna witnessed
about the Lord Jesus Christ in this
Christmas.
Let us celebrate this Christmas with
praising and glorifying God in Spirit and in
truth. Let each of our life be a life of
praising God.
