2. WHAT IS SPECTACLE?
Spectacle is everything that the audience sees as they watch the play. It is something
exhibited to view as unusual, notable, or entertaining, especially an eye-catching or
dramatic public display. spectacles includes :

3. COSTUME
Clothing and accessories worn by actors to
portray character and period. Costume can
really help an actor to feel the part and has
a big impact upon performance. What they
wear affects the way they move and in
some cases speak, so wearing the right
thing can help actor to find detail in
characterization
4. MAKE UP
Makeup includes costumes, wigs, and body paint
used to transform an actor into a character. .Make up
is used to assist in creating the appearance of the
characters, that actors portray during a theatre
production

5. SCENERY
Scenery is that which is used as a setting
for a theatrical production. Scenery or
set is the theatrical equipment, such as
curtains, flats, backdrops, or platforms,
used in a dramatic production to
communicate environment.
6. SOUND
Sound is The effects an audience hears
during performance to communicate
character, context, or environment. Sound
can be used to create a setting and develop
character.
Small props can also create sound effects
that can be used live during a show. Other
uses of sound involve the implementation
of technology, such as instrumental
recordings, soundscapes and sound effects

7. LIGHTING
The placement, intensity, and color of lights helps to
communicate environment, mood, or feeling. The
lighting and stage design can have an important
influence on the overall effect of the show, and can
be an important character itself

Short for properties; any article, except the actor, costume
or scenery, used as part of a dramatic production. In
practical terms, a prop is any moveable object that appears
on stage during a performance, from a telephone to a train.
