When teachers are designing
materials for their learners at the
classroom, they have to take in
count different important factors
on the learning process
The teacher as a bridge between students and
knowledge, must take in count different
aspects of his/her students:
- Experiences (life and educational)
- Aspirations
- Learning needs
Know about culture,language, desires etc
Know about the mental and financial
background of the students
Know about students
- Objectives and goals of curriculum are the
teacher's responsibility
-Teacher needs create the materials for class
according to context
-Materials should be according to the level of
students
Know about Context
-An element of this context, is that the teacher
always must be realistic in class when they
use the materials,also there are several ways
of teaching with different materials.
-Add materials according to level of students.
Resources and Facilities
Example of teacher in England
Attitude took by the teacher in order to
develop practical materials for teach taking
into account useful and modern tools and
another functional supplies.
Arises questions for teacher himself like:
1) Do i'm preparing well enough for the
students?
2) Am I competent enough
Personal Competence
It is important to be aware of the time that
teachers get on creating materials.
Time has been taken as a disadvantage for
teachers who want to create their own
materials
To fill this gap there must be teacher teams to
create various materials and obviously those
materials need to be available for anyone.
Time
Teachers must take in count and be mindful of
the copyrights laws when they are designing
materials. It is important to clarify that the
materials can be extracted from websites, text
books, published works, etc.
An idea cannot be copyright, but an
expression of it can be.
