8. What's the main problem in Nepal's education system?
*Improper division of the location of colleges and
universities: Almost all the good higher secondary
colleges, coaching institute's, engineering and medical
colleges/universities are located in and around our
capital city Kathmandu.
*The unfair perception people have towards technical
subjects. On the top of the hierarchy based on overall
approval by Nepal parents like MBBS, then engineering,
forestry, and agriculture below that and subjects like
arts and education lie at the base.
*Limitations: Courses are limited, and in lot of cases,
courses have little or no prospects. I always wanted to
study Applied Mathematics or Theoretical Physics, but
it's just become a fantasy for me a long ago.
*Education as a business: Schools and colleges are
taking a lot of charge to provide admissions.
9. *Poverty: In context to Nepal, poverty is the
main cause why parents don’t send their child
to schools. Its also due to money minded
institutions who takes a lot of fees while
educating a child.
*Child labor: Many children's of our
country is engaged in child labor due to
various problems. It may be cause they are
homeless or poor. But this in fact has
affected a lot in their education.
