India is an agro-based country with around 60% of its people directly or indirectly depend upon agriculture. The farmer is the backbone of Indian economy. From last decades, farmers suicide number increases due to certain reasons as natural and artificial calamities. It's a big questions how to minimize such unnecessary conditions and and at the same time uplift farmers economy...Apiculture and Vermiculture act as the best-agro-based practices.

2. The farmer is the backbone of Indian economy.
India is an agro-based country with around 60% of its
people directly or indirectly depend upon agriculture.
The world's largest producer of many fresh fruits and
vegetables.
Second largest producer of wheat and rice.
India ranked within the world's five largest producers
of over 80% of agricultural produce items, including
many cash crops such as coffee and cotton.
6. • Loan from Landlord
• Environmental Problems as drought, flood etc
• Stress, Family problems, alcoholism, mental
illness, dowry harassment and chronic diseases
• Mono cropping
• Illiteracy in the pesticides use
• Government policies
9. Vermiculture is an important agro-based
industry.
It is a method of converting organic wastes into
useful products through the action of earthworm.
The useful products are in the form of
vermicompost and vermiwash.
They increase the fertility of the crop as
vegetables, fruits and fiber crops.

12. Earthworms improves water holding capacity of soil.
Vermicompost enhances germination, plant growth and crop
yield.
Improves root growth and structure.
Helps multiplication of microbes and maintain normal soil pH
Due to healthy plant growth, plant can resist insect attack.
Vermiwash acts as a plant tonic and help to reduce many
plant diseases.
13. • Apiculture is an important and dominant agro-based
industry.
• A non-competitive business with minimal recurring
expenses, the farmers could keep earning for life.
• 1/3rd of our diet comes from bee-pollinated crops.
• The honeybees are efficient pollinators and are
therefore of considerable ecological and economic
importance.
• They visit diverse flowers of plant species, foraging for
nectar and pollen grains.
• Bees play a vital role in making plant fertilization, as
well as help in the conservation of biodiversity.

19. Apiculture and Vermiculture, both are agro-based
business.
Both demands minimum investment and ensures high
revenue.
Apiculture increases crop production qualitatively and
quantitatively.
It provides honey, beeswax and other products.
Vermiculture enhances germination, plant growth, and
crop yield.
At some extent we can minimize farmer’s suicide.
We can think about the sustainable development of
farmers and tribal.
Encourages respect for living things and natural
cycles.
