The white South Africans were wealthy, well-educated, healthy and happy.

On one side you had the blacks, very many who demanded revenge against the minority but wealthy white. On the other hand, you had the whites who feared the new government would be corrupt, petty, and interested only in the bringing down the whites.

Mandela decided to show the black colleagues that he was not intimidated by the challenge but rather inspired them to overcome challenges. He showed not to get into power and play over who the leader is but persuaded the uncooperative team members to take responsibility. Through doing this, they thought that was their idea. Therefore they worked together.
Mandela’s leadership quality enabled him to use charm and friendliness than confrontation and acting bossy, and it proved useful.
