3. Let’s trace back the journey
Learning outcomes:
● List the materials used in making a product.
● Notice the changes and process that takes
place in the making of a product.
Students were asked to trace back the journey of
any one object of their choice.This helped them to
understand that an object is made of different
materials.Later, they explained the terms with
scientific vocabulary.
5. Alphabet Scavenger Hunt
Learning Outcomes:
● To identify and understand the difference
between man-made and natural materials.
● To find the states of matter
The idea behind this alphabet scavenger hunt is to
have kids go around the classroom and find things that
start with the different letters of the alphabet. This
helps them identify different materials and also
differentiate the types of materials into Man-made and
Natural materials.Later helped them to come up with
the 3 states of matter.
7. Food Day celebration
Learning Outcomes:
● Understand the physical and chemical changes.
● Identify permanent and temporary changes
● Identify the changes in materials.
● Differentiate physical and chemical changes.
Students shared and explained their procedural writing about their
favourite recipe in front of the class and also they listed down
the various changes happened to the materials before and after.
Students also made an illustration for before and after changes
for the same food recipe.
9. FA-1 The Experts
Learning Outcomes:
● Understand the physical and chemical changes.
● Identify permanent and temporary changes
● Identify the changes in materials.
● Differentiate physical and chemical changes.
Students did an experiment on their own to showcase their
understanding on Physical and Chemical changes .Also they
mentioned the criterias about how to find if the product has
undergone physical or chemical change.
Later they did the self-assessment.
