Kieron Williamson
When Kieron Williamson was five years old, he and his family went
on holiday to the seaside. One day, he saw some boats on the
sea. He asked his parents for some paper and began to draw
them. At first his pictures were very simple. But they quickly got
better, and after a few days he began adding trees and houses to
them. His parents were very surprised because no one in Kieron’s
family draws or paints, and before the holiday, Kieron was not
especially interested in art.
After the holiday Kieron continued drawing, and began painting as
well. He never liked the paints that children usually use, and has always preferred expensive oil
paints. Kieron sold his first pictures when he was seven and is now popular all over the world.
He has made enough money to buy a new house in the countryside for his family.
Kieron goes to a local school, and loves computer games and playing football. At one time, he
asked to have lessons at home, to give himself more time to paint. However, his parents didn’t
agree. They thought it was important for him to have a normal life and to spend time with his
friends every day.
