1. OUTSIDE COUNTRY HOUSE - EXT. / NIGHT
An ancient house, standing lonely in the middle of a
deserted landscape in Northern Germany; lying there like a
sleeping giant under the starry sky.
But something seems strange: All of the windows and doors
have been nailed shut.
Text chart: "1976"
The headlights of a car pierce the darkness. A car halts
in the yard. Three MEN step out. One of them is wearing a
police uniform. The men switch on their flashlights and
look around.
MAN #1
How long has the house already
been like this?

The producer of the feature film ‘7 days to live’ already shows
consistancy in the approach to creating a horror movie as within the title
the word ‘Live’ is used this indicates that this horror movie will be based
around the ‘survival’ – Genre theorist Rick Altman would say the Producer
has thought about the Syntactic of horror and has made this present in
the title of the movie.
A strength of the title highlighting what is expected in the film
automatically appears to an horror audience which likes the genre of
survival within a horror movie.

Here we can see on the first draft the Writer of the script has put
the film production company name and contact details. The
question would arise as to ‘Why has the producer has put these
contact details on the script I believe the contact details are there
so that the characters within the script if they have any questions
or queries they can use the contact information provided also
there for people who may have found the ‘7 days to live’ very
interesting or astounding and therefore decide they want to have
their own film produced by ‘ INDIGO Film produktion ‘ .
The illustrator here has put in the phrase ‘ Fade in ‘ this shows that for
the final of the feature film editing will be done to create more effect .
4. 1. OUTSIDE COUNTRY HOUSE EXT. / NIGHT
Here we have a brief description of the setting
and the characters directions within this setting
also we have an indication of the time of day.
The headlights of a car pierce the darkness. A car halts
in the yard. Three MEN step out. One of them is wearing a
police uniform. The men switch on their flashlights and
look around.
Considering this is the first draft of the script the
writer of the script has explained the scene in a
lot of detail although the font used does not seem
very appealing however the font is not the most
important factor when writing a good script as
long as the script is comprehendible.
