William Henderson Jr. is an 18-year-old native of Newport, North Carolina who is excited to attend North Carolina State University. He comes from a family of five where he is the youngest of three children, all of whom attended NCSU. He loves music and plays several instruments, currently playing snare drum in the NCSU Pipes and Drums band. He grew up attending NCSU baseball games and chose to attend the university because of his family history there and his interest in business through the Poole College of Management. While he enjoys spending time with friends playing guitar over partying, he is an easygoing person excited for his first semester at NCSU.

My name is William Henderson
Jr. I am a native of
Newport, North Carolina (spend
all of my time in Emerald Isle)
and I am super excited to be
living in a city! I am 18 and like
to think I am pretty smart. I
come from family of five and I
am the youngest of three
children, all of whom
attend/attended NCSU.

3. Interests
I love music. I play the
guitar, all types of
percussive instruments
(ranging from drum set to
xylophone), recently picked
up piano, and I love to sing.
I currently play snare drum
in the NCSU Pipes and
Drums and my suite has
started a little band. I am a
huge Wolfpack fan, of
course, and attend as many
games as possible!

4. Where I am From
I lived on the
Bogue
Sound, which
provided
great views.
I attended
Croatan High
School and
graduated
top ten in my
class.

5. Why NCSU PCOM?
I chose NC State because
my whole family went here
and I love the campus and
the atmosphere. I pretty
much grew up at State
baseball games because
my Dad played on the
team when he attended
NCSU. I knew the Poole
College of Management
was right for me because I
am very interested in
business and I understand
the practical purpose of
having a business degree.

6. Uniqueness
Why am I unique? I
can do a Rubik’s very
quickly (between 30-60
seconds); but there is
more to me than that. I
love to have a good
time but not in the
same way as most
college students. I
would much rather just
sit around with friends
and play guitar than go
out and party.

I am an easy going
guy, I love Scottish
culture, and I am
super excited about
my first semester at
NCSU and look
forward to teaming
up with the advisors
and mentors at my
disposal.
