• A.real.brainstorming!

    1. 1. A real brainstorming!
Ideas to interact with our softwareusing the senses and thoughts…
2. 2. PRIMAVERA TV
3. 3.
    4. 4. New products (RTM?)
5. 5. Augmented Reality
Tomorrow
Today
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikitude
6. 6. Source of senses…
7. 7. BCI definition
“A brain–computer interface (BCI), sometimes called a direct neural interface or a brain–machine interface, is a direct communication pathway between a brain and an external device.”
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brain-computer_interface
8. 8. Emotiv Systems
Emotiv Systems is an Australian-originelectronics company developing brain–computer interfaces based on electroencephalography (EEG) technology.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emotiv_Systems
9. 9. What is EEG?
Our mind produce various waves, and the EPOC can detect those signals; only is necessary interpret what they mean and use them to “speak” with any device.
The recording of electrical activity along the scalp produced by the firing of neurons within the brain.
10. 10.
    11. 11. Delta wave
Theta wave
Alpha wave
Beta wave
12. 12. Emotiv EPOC
The EPOC has 14 electrodes. It also has a two-axis gyro for measuring head rotation.
The headset must first be trained to recognize what kind of thought pattern equates to a certain action. It can measure four categories of inputs:
Conscious thoughts (Cognitiv suite)
12 + 1 kinds of movements
6 directions (left, right, up, down, forward, and "zoom")
6 rotations ([anti-]clockwise rotation, turn left and right, and sway backward and forward
plus 1 other visualization ("disappear")
Emotions (Affectiv suite)
"Excitement"
"Engagement/Boredom"
"Meditation“
"Frustration"
Facial expressions
Head rotation
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emotiv_Systems
13. 13. Demo
14. 14. Innovation Wanted!
15. 15. Thanks for giving me your valuable time …and don’t forget that knowledge is not “power” unless you can share it with someone else!
