Crews defines an essay as "a fairly briefpiece of nonfiction that tries to make a point in aninteresting way."

Definition Essay When you are writing a definition essay, you take aterm or an idea and write about what it is. You need to give a careful definition of the key termbefore going on to discuss different types or examples.
