3. Introduction The BSN 2-K students, had conducted an outreach program last march 24, 2007 (Saturday) at Langub, Guadalupe with a theme on Solid Waste Management. There was a seminar teaching regarding the proper disposal of garbages as well as the cleanliness of every individual. Some competencies such as blood pressure taking & wound care were also performed.
4. SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT is a process in which we are taught on how to segregate garbage; proper disposal of garbage in order to maintain cleanliness. As a Nursing student it is our responsibility to teach the people in the community, to clean their surroundings in order to prevent acquiring such diseases like diarrhea, hepatitis, malaria, dengue and so much more.
9. CONCLUSION After having the outreach program, we then realized that it is not easy conducting this seminar because our respondents was supposed to be individuals ages 18-below, but unfortunately only those children 10-below attended the seminar. They are difficult to handle since they are not that attentive. We are all feeling tired but after all the activity is a success. Everyone that participated in the said program enjoyed the activity since we had games with prizes. Conducting this seminar about Solid Waste Management helped the children in molding themselves to be better individuals in the community. They are our future so therefore it is our responsibility to teach them the right things to be done. It is our pleasure that in a little we have imparted these knowledge to them. We suggest that the parents, too, will help their children in molding their future.
