YES O ACTION PLAN
SY 2019-2020
INTRODUCTION
Nature is our gift from God. We should take care and preserve it. The green color that
makes up most of our plants magnificently nourishes our health. It is the most restful color every
human eyes can see. It is the color of the youth. The Pinili National High School Your for
Environment in Schools Organization annually planned for activities that could help preserve and
alleviate the school’s environmental condition specifically in the observance of a Clean and Green
Classroom including its surrounding. This is one way of the continuous strong interest in protecting
and preserving the Gift of Nature. Students have been mobilized and maintains a renewed youth
participation and action to protect, preserve, conserve and rehabilitate our environment.
DepEd Order No. 72, series of 2003, establishes YES-O as the only co-curricular
environmental club or organizations in schools. It consolidates all other environment and/or
ecology clubs or organizations in schools with main and primary programs or projects for the
environment. Through this organization, the young will develop their awareness in the ways of
environmentalism. This would lead to help secure a clean and healthy environment not only in the
school but in the whole community and spread out worldwide. YES-O inspires and trains diverse
youth to deal with environmental issues through community action projects and campaigns, skills
training in leadership, environmental education, civic engagement, and community organizing,
and knowledge that sustain our communities and their future.
2. The YES-O has the following Objectives
Be aware and create awareness in others of the state of the Philippine environment and
ecology, including prevailing issues and concerns relative thereto;
Establish specific and doable programs, projects and activities to address issues and
concerns on the environment and ecology;
Network with other government and non-government organizations including YES-O of
other schools within the division and region, with regard to support and assistance to
programs, projects and activities of the organization;
Encourage community participation and initiative in environmental and ecological
movements and actions; and
Develop among members and the community proper environmental values, skills and
attitudes.
YES-O members need to act now that the deterioration of the environment is happening.
There is a strong impact on the youths’ well-being. Remember that the environment is not an
inheritance from the past generation but rather a borrowed treasure that needs to be taken
cared and make it flourish. Abiding the mandates of organization, sustainable development
has become a key element in the programs and activities of the YES-O throughout the year.
The organization operates on the values of youth empowerment, sustainability, diversity,
justice and healthy environment. Saving the environment from wrath is a collaborative effort.
Everyone must participate and work together in order to maintain and sustain the cleanliness
of the school environment. The success of the YES-O projects/programs and activities lie in
our hands. Therefore your hand, my hand and everybody’s hands are the keys to sustain color
of life… green which symbolizes life.
