to sustain its day-to-day operations. With the
advent of the latest technologies such as digital
technology, it has further deemed more important
today. While good internal communication can
deliver growth and profitability in a company,
otherwise can result to detrimental repercussions
in the business. In internal communication,
remember that the employees should be
communicated with – not at. This is because
internal communication is all about employee
engagement.
Why Internal Communications is Important
Effective internal communications is an assurance
that employees know the company deeper than
anyone else, including mission and vision, values and purposes, as well as their roles in the company.

To achieve the goals of the company, coordination and harmony among the departments must be ensured.

Having a company newsletter is the easiest way and medium to inform the employees about the company
and everything they should know. It is a great way to update them about the latest developments in the
company, as well as the performance and profits. But be sure that the newsletter is democratic and has
the participation of the employees.

Though it is a little costly, having a central website where any employee can check for updates and
information is an effective tool to communicate and engage employees. You can opt for the website than
the newsletter and publish online the information you want to disseminate such as announcements. To
further engage employees, you can also give them access to managing and operating the site.
Intimate Meetings
Despite all the technologies we have now for communication, it is still face-to-face communication that is
the most effective way to reach out to employees. Set up smaller groups help establish camaraderie and
allow employees to voice out their opinions.
Suggestion boxes
Suggestion boxes are very common in companies who want to hear the side of the employees. The
employees can simply write down their insights and suggestions and drop them in the boxes spread
around the various departments of the company.
