Stefan Reddrick runs his entire financial advisory practice virtually through cloud storage and a virtual office phone system, allowing him full access to client information from anywhere. He has only two employees, including a remote assistant, and runs an entirely paperless and eco-friendly office. Stefan continues to innovate, networking frequently and re-evaluating his marketing materials to provide clients the best possible service and materials comparable to large corporations.
1. REPRESENTATIVE HIGHLIGHTS
After 14 years in the financial services industry, Stefan Reddrick has found a way to
become a virtual advisor and still maintain a physical presence, all while running
an entirely green office.
Stefan is the branch manager of Alpha Wealth Partners, Inc. based in Fullerton,
California. He has a longstanding reputation as a specialist in the field of retirement
planning and is well versed in building portfolios and creating income strategies.
Stefan is unique in that he carries his practice with him everywhere he goes.
Whether at home, in a coffee shop or in the car, Stefan can access all customer
information at any time. So what is his secret?
All of Stefan’s data is scanned, photo imaged and indexed so he can access it
right from his phone or laptop. Keeping this information on his cloud storage
allows him to access all of his customer information, no matter where he may be.
His office line is also virtual, which gives him access to call logs, faxes, emails and
even allows him to call customers from his cell phone while the caller ID shows
the office line. Being readily available to his customers has greatly contributed to
the efficiency of his work.

2. “I find myself freeing up time by having
full access to all aspects of my practice,”
said Stefan.“With the evolution of smart
phones, I’m almost using my phone more
than my computer.”
Stefan has only two people in his office, while the others
are remote. “I believe you don’t need a lot of bodies in
order to run a practice efficiently,” said Stefan.
His phone system allows others to work with him, but they
do not need to be in the office. His assistant works from
home on an as-needed schedule, which also saves money
on office space.
Running a green office has enhanced the workflow and
efficiency of Stefan’s practice. He requires his customers to
fax or email documents, and he is always happy to assist if
they need a little help. He reminds them that cooperating
with him in this manner helps to speed up processing
times, build accountability and is eco-friendly. Advances
in technology also assist him in maintaining a green office.
When software developers update a program that he
uses, it improves the way he works without requiring him
to do anything differently. For example, the cloud-based
office phone provider recently improved the iPhone
application, which added the ability to fax documents
directly from his cell phone. This upgrade enhanced his
system without any extra cost.
Self-evaluation is also a major factor to Stefan’s continuing
success. Occasionally, he re-evaluates his work, including
the materials he gives to his customers, in order to
enhance the message he is sending. In the last year, Stefan
went through a complete evaluation of the print material
customers receive when he makes a proposal. Not only
did Stefan complete a makeover on the print material,
but he invested in a printer to give his proposal a polished
finish. He also consulted with an advertising designer
and other professionals who produce large proposals to
come up with his finished product. He strives to create
high-end and consistent materials that rival any of the
large wirehouses such as Wells Fargo or Merrill Lynch.
This ensures that anything he provides to customers or
prospects is equivalent to, if not better, than what they
would see from top-level corporations. Needless to say,
the word mediocre is not in Stefan’s vocabulary.
Stefan plans to continue his success and growth by networking
with other business professionals. He believes building
strong, business-to-business relationships represents the
future of resource acquisition.
“Network marketing is the best way to grow your practice,”
said Stefan. He believes that simply reaching out and finding
customers is becoming more difficult, and having another
business professional who trusts your judgment to rely on for
referrals is crucial. “You have to expand your business sphere
of influence exponentially in order to find the right clients,”
Stefan added.
With the costs of attracting the right customer increasing
and the accessibility of the Internet becoming easier, Stefan
firmly believes in having three to five outside professionals
who provide strong business leads.
“I think that’s the next obstacle in our business growth. We
can’t be this single, know-it-all practitioner who doesn’t rely
on other professionals to expand, or we’re going to die on
the vine,” Stefan expressed.
Marketing can be very difficult; therefore, having people to
speak on your behalf can prove very beneficial. One way
he plans to connect with other business professionals is by
inviting them to his seminars and events. He plans to hold an
event with local business professionals who are interested in
networking to discover what opportunities may arise.
Stefan has also been an active participant in Business
Networking International (“BNI”), the world’s largest
business networking organization, for the past three years.
This networking institute helps keep him fresh and motivates
him to continuously seek ways to improve himself and his
business. Every week, he stands in front of 15-25 business
professionals to present his practice and explain all the
reasons they should work with him.
“Thishelpsmecreateaquick,razor-sharpwaytocommunicate
with people. When I’m out networking, my pitch is very
concise, allowing me to devote more time to conversation
and connection,” Stefan explained.
Moving into the future with innovation in mind is always
in Stefan’s sights. He plans to continue seeking new and
efficient solutions to help build upon his dynamic business.
