Slow motion slow motion This will be an shot of the Ex Serviceman club from the outside to allow the audience to become familiar with the location. N/A Static camera Soundtrack 4 Seconds Mid shot. (M.S) 2 Cut and face to black. Slow motion slow motion L.A This will be a shot of a sign (if any) displaying the name of the place relating to the name of soap. This will give another chance for the audience to farmiliarise themselves with the location of this soap. N/A Static camera Soundtrack 3 Seconds Point of view high angle shot 3 Cut and fade to black. H.A Shot of the main antagonists feet walking to the ex serviceman's club. The clothing item/style may give an enigma clue to the audience in which they can stereotype the character. The audience may be able to relate with the groups presented in this shot. (stereotypical views) N/A Soundtrack Panning to reveal the setting and other characters which could be enigma codes (Roland Barthes) to scenes later on in the soap trailer which can bring different story lines or clues about the soap. (O.T.S) 7 Cut E.L SLIGHT PAN ACROSS This will an over the shoulder shot of the antagonist looking at different friendship groups within the pub. He/she will still be walking around the pub/club. N/A Soundtrack Tracking to identify the audience with the location more and other characters which the main antagonist associates themselves with. 3 Seconds Close up (C.U) 8 Cut E.L 3 Seconds Index: E.L = Eye Level H.A = High Angle L.A = Low Angle Cut to the young group of friends who are laughing with each other and playing spin the bottle. This is the first time the audience are presented with this friendship group. Some may be able to build a ‘personal relationship’ due to certain characteristics. The audience will be presented with a blurred figure to create mystery within the trailer. Static N/A Soundtrack 2 Seconds 22 TILT UPWARDS TO REVEAL FACE Close Up (C.U) Cut Then fade to black E.L Tilt upwards to reveal the main antagonist which is shot in a close up. This will then reveal the main antagonist and will cause a deeper disequilibrium in which the audience will want to know more. Tilting movement to present the main antagonist and their facial expression which can be an enigma code (Roland Barthes) for some members of the audience. N/A Soundtrack 5 Seconds Establishing shot (E.S) 23 Open from black to the show information and then fade to black. E.L This is the last shot of the trailer which will contain all the soap trailer information such as: what channel, the time the soap will be aired and on when it will be aired. It will also contain some information to the social media platform to appeal to a wider audience.
