4. Purpose of Kings Lake Programs
Kings Lake Education Center is an alternative
education site.
Students are given the opportunity to complete their
high school education and graduate with a diploma in
an innovative setting.

Block Nine Freshman Intervention Program
Incoming ninth graders
Smaller campus setting
Instruction geared toward student’s specific area of need
Offer tutoring during and after school
Provide small group reading and math interventions

Corcoran Academy Independent Study Program
Provide an alternative for students that need a non-traditional setting
Grades K - Twelve
Independent Study Program (CHS students)
Classes for students short credits to graduate
Provide an alternative for students that need a non-traditional setting

Kings Lake Continuation High School
Alternative non-traditional academic educational setting
Earn credits toward High School Diploma
Students sixteen to eighteen years of age
Mission Community Day School
Expelled students that meet specific requirements (mild to
moderate infractions)
Sixth to Twelfth grade
8. Programs
In - House Suspension
In lieu of Out of School suspension
Four hours and ten minutes per day
Full day school credit
Students work on assignments sent by their teachers during their
suspension time
