The role of schoolThe role of school
The role of this school is for students,
teachers, and the community to unite
together and adapt under one. Students
will be taught lessons that reflect both
emotionally and intellectually. “A social
reconstructionist teacher creates lessons
that both intellectually inform and
emotionally stir students about the
inequities that surround them” (Sadker &
Zittleman, 2013).
Purpose of educationPurpose of education
The purpose of education is for students
to gain both an intellectual and emotional
standpoint on a variety of lessons that
relate to their surroundings. Also along
with gaining an education, students will
bring this material and relate it to objects
that are faced to help society.
Physical environmentPhysical environment
The physical environment of the school
building and surroundings is that it is very
clean and eco-friendly. Around the school
building is a variety of things that reflect
society and the community such as
paintings, drawings, quotes, and so forth.
The school also has clubs and meetings
that reflect on the community, and every
month the school holds meetings for
parents to attend.
Academic curriculumAcademic curriculum
The academic curriculum for this middle school
has a standard curriculum with required classes
such as English, Math, Science, Social Studies,
gym, art/choir, and a foreign language.
Students may also pick from a variety of
electives such as government, economics, and a
mandatory elective of community service.
Extracurricular activities includes sports such as
basketball, baseball, football, softball, soccer,
tennis, etc. There are also clubs such as public
speaking, community service, tutoring, foreign
language clubs, and so forth.
Rules, rituals, and behaviorsRules, rituals, and behaviors
 Students must always enter the school building ready to
learn and succeed. They must have all there homework
complete, and all forms signed when required.
 Teachers will give monthly progress reports to parents to
help them know how there child is doing.
 Parent teacher conference will be held every three months
which is mandatory for parents to attend.
 Students must respect one another, and their will be NO
bullying allowed.
 Students will have to recycle and help the community.
Each month, different classes will be invited to trips that
will help students learn and explore the community. (trips
include museums, community center, historical landmarks,
and so forth)
 Students must wear a proper uniform. Any color polo shirt
with proper pants (jeans, khakis, etc).
Rules, rituals, and behaviorsRules, rituals, and behaviors
 Students must be in the building by 8:15am or else
they will be considered late. If a student does not
have a note stating why they are late, they will have
a fifteen minute detention after school. Dismissal is at
3:00pm.
 No garbage can be found on the floor. If student gets
caught, they will face consequences.
 Every month students will have an option to volunteer
in making the school a cleaner place such as raking
the leaves, planting flowers, cleaning, etc.
 Since the school is an eco-friendly building, the school
will have a variety of healthy snacks that students
may purchase.

Every student has an equal opportunity to
attend this school. Discrimination, race,
and all negative forms are not allowed in
this school. If a specific student is feeling
targeted, school officials will take into
authority. Also issues of global welfare will
be not tolerated.
