Introduction As our scientific paradigm has shifted towards a materialist account of the world,
many thinkers believe that appeals to the supernatural cannot provide truth. Consequently, beliefs

new world view. Daniel Dennett s book Consciousness Explainedattempts to provide an account of

Research Question. The main research question proposed in this study: 1) does alcohol affect
children prenatally. The hypothesis that researchers draw is if there are adverse effects of
children who were exposed to a low dosage of alcohol at the age of 6 to 7 years of age. This
study wanted to find the amount of alcohol it would take for children to exhibit problem
behaviors. Sample. The focus of this study were primarily black females within the Detroit
University hospital. There is an uneven balance between racial groups because 90% of woman who
go to this hospital are black. Participants had been screened during their pregnancy for alcohol,
cocaine, tobacco, and other drugs that they could have used during this time. Also, time frame at
which participants had to have given birth was between September 1, 1989, and August 31, 1991.
Follow ups were intensively sought after by phone, mailing address, or if necessary, directly to the
front door of the participant. There was no response rate clearly stated. During the final study

Many popular movies these days are based on world famous books and stories, like The Veldt by
Ray Bradbury. Some movies may be very similar to its story, but usually they re quite different.
This is usually caused because the movie will be too long if they try to include all the details that
the book provides. But is it completely true? This is why I will be comparing a short story to it s
short film, called The Veldt by Ray Bradbury.
First, the characters, in this story they re five main characters, one of them being George Hadley,
the father, George is striker in the story and consistent with his decision, and Lydia Hadley, the
mother was really paranoid but became more laid back towards the end. In the movie though they

The plot had some major differences as well as its similarities, for example, when Lydia was
frightened by the lions and when Peter and Wendykilled their parents. The film did follow the
same storyline and had the same plot but also had some slight differences here and there, for
example ... In the story, George and Lydia found a wallet and a scarf in the nursery, but they
found a purse in the movie. The children didn t land in the space ship and they didn t even
mention the plastic carnival. There were no whining or jumping on couch s as referenced in the
story when the kids heard the news about locking up the nursery, they just got mad and ran
towards the nursery. When the Parents were supposedly chased by lions, Lydia wasn t crying,
the story made it seem more dramatic than it appeared in the video. As well as Peter called
George George in the movie instead of Father or Dad, this was not mentioned in the story, but it
did show how he didn t really think of George as his Dad. There were also a little foreshadowing at
the end when George told Lydia to RIP Rest in peace then shortly after they

Research Question Does the development of the dark triad personality traits in adolescence
contribute as the main factor to juvenile delinquency?
As Humans, we are understood to have a higher degree of variance in our behaviours than most
other species and this has a significant impact on the way we interact with others in society. My
personal interest in behavioural studies and criminology lead me to research more on the
characteristics of adolescence in relation to juvenile delinquency. Upon further research, I stumbled

The key findings so far have suggested that the psychopathic and narcissistic traits are highly
prevalent among adolescents. They also show factors leading to delinquency which include callous
unemotional and sadistic traits particularly in boys. Disengagement is another factor that plays a
large part in the emergence of Machiavellianism at an early stage. These findings will be useful in
locating a link between these behaviours and if they can be the main reason for juvenile
delinquency.
The gap in these research papers is that they have not yet looked into why it was particularly boys
that developed these traits were more prone to delinquent behaviour than girls who did. Works Cited

The Hanging Of Louis Riel
Diorama Write Up The Hanging of Louis Riel For my diorama I chose to do the hanging of
Louis Riel. I used Lego characters to represent the people who attended the trail and Louis. I did
this because lego is easy to set up and i have an excess amount of lego so it was also easy to
gather the supplies. For the background I picked blue and green construction paper to serve as
the sky and hills + grass. With construction paper i also made the sun and some clouds out of
yellow and white paper. The lego I used added to the understanding of the event by showing that
lots of people attended the hanging. I made some of the people attending the hanging cheering to
represent the English speaking people who wanted Riel to suffer as they believed
