5. Simple Steps
1. Choose a topic you care about (love, war, history, poetry...)
2. Look up the dictionary meaning of the word: write that in
your journal
3. Now start breaking down what the true “essence” of the
word is, this may include examples of it, how it has affected
your life, etc.

journaling: to me it is
more than just a record
of news and events...to
me it is thoughts,
songs, prayers...a lot of
prayers. I might draw
a picture...and it might
relate to the day...or it
might just make me
happy.
