This project supports the following:<br />TECHNOLOGY<br />Standard 8.1.4.A.5 Determine the benefits of a wide range of digital tools by using them to solve problems.<br />Standard 8.1.8.A.5 Select and use appropriate tools and digital resources to accomplish a variety of tasks and to solve problems.<br />Standard 8.1.2.C.1 Engage in a variety of developmentally appropriate learning activities with students in other classes, schools, or countries using electronic tools.<br />Standard 8.1.8.C.1  Participate in an online learning community with learners from other countries to understand their perspectives on a global problem or issue, and propose possible solutions.<br />Standard 8.1.2.E.1 Use digital tools and online resources to explore a problem or issue affecting children, and discuss possible solutions.<br />Standard 8.2.2.D.1 Collect and post the results of a digital classroom survey about a problem or issue and use data to suggest solutions.<br />Standard 8.2.4.D.1 Analyze responses collected from owners/users of a particular product and suggest modifications in the design of the product based on their responses.<br />

This project supports the following:<br />LANGUAGE ARTS<br />Standard 3.1 All students will understand and apply the knowledge of sounds, letters, and words in written English to become independent and fluent readers, and will read a variety of materials and texts with fluency and comprehension.<br />Standard 3.2 All students will write in clear, concise, and organized language that varies in content and form for different audiences and purposes<br />Standard 3.4 All students will listen actively to information from a variety of sources in a variety of situations.<br />Standard 3.5 All students access, view, evaluate, and respond to print, non print, and electronic text and resources<br />
