Installation Steps

2. 1. Install windows server 2012 R2 Standard 64 bit Edition.
2. Change the computer name to “Exchange”.
3. Configure a static IP address and Ping to the domain server for testing the
connections.
4. And join the Computer to the existing Domain Example “Webhost.co.nz”.
5. Make sure the internet connection is working in the computer.

lookup zone

12. Select the IPv4 for reverse lookup

13. Give the network ID

14. Select the second option for Dynamic update

15. Completed the reverse look up zone creation

16. Login as Domain administrator in Local Exchange
server

17. Download the Exchange server 2013 from the Microsoft
website and begin to install.

18. Copying the file for installation.

19. Click on the Next option to begin installation

20. Tick the “I accept the licence agreement”. Then
click Next

21. Select “Use recommended settings” then click
next option

22. Select the server role by selecting both role

23. Specify the Exchange organisation Name.

24. Disabled the Malware scanning.

25. Checking for prerequisites.

26. Will not proceed due to Error in installation and some
prerequisites software need to install.

27. Down load the prerequisites software from Microsoft
website.
 Filter pack 64 and 32 bit .
 Unified communication Manager.
 Filter pack 2010 service pack (KB2460041).

28. After finishing all prerequisites rerun the readiness
checks.

29. Now the setup is running after prerequisites checks.

30. Exchange is successfully installed on the computer

31. After the exchange server set up is completed login with domain
administrator User Id and password.

32. Choose the language and time zone.

33. After login in to exchange add user from domain controller

34. Adding user sebin from the Active Directory Users and computers.

35. User sebin is added to exchange data base

36. Adding user Rohan from the Active Directory Users and
computers.

37. User rohan is added to exchange data base.

38. Two users Sebin and Rohan is added to Exchange Database

39. Login into created “Sebin” account in exchange.

40. Sending a test mail to Rohan.

41. Mail Successfully received
