Refining my planning
Flatplan1- Bus Advert
I would use a type of image that shows what the
advert is about, but not overtly, so I would show a
homeless teen, but not a dirty looking one with
any alcohol or drugs etc. around them. I think this
type of image would be better in contrast to an
image where the teen looks dangerous, because it
will help people to see that they are teens who
need a place to stay temporarily. I also wouldn’t
show an image where the teen is begging or is with
other people, because I think the image needs to
show how these people feel alone, have no money
and need to be helped.
I would want the name of
the charity ‘SASH’ to be at
the very top of the advert in
bold clear letters so that
people can see clearly what
it is. ‘SASH’ itself will be
written in white with a
green outline. The font I
would use would be
‘coolvetica’ because its
clear to see and bold.
SASH’s charity tagline will
be directly underneath
the name: ‘’Preventing
youth homelessness
together’’ In a clear and
easy to read font, written
in green.
The main body of text
would include a little bit
about what SASH do and
the contact information
for them. Again will be
written in green. ‘For
general enquiries or to
ask about volunteering
please call 01904
652043’.
I would use green
throughout the advert,
but I would change the
shade of green, for
example getting lighter
as the eye draws down
the advert.
Flatplan2-Poster The title will be on the top of the
page. ‘SASH’ will be white with a
green outline, it will be big, bold,
clear and easy to read.
The tagline will be in ‘Geo Sans Light’, again written in a dark
green.
There will be three images in
the centre of the page, one
larger one in the middle and
two smaller ones on either
side of it. The middle image
will be of a happy teenager,
smiling. The two next to it
will be of families.
SASH contact information, written in a bold green
‘’For general enquiries or to ask about
volunteering please call 01904 652043’’
This area will be three sections of
information, one about the nightspot
service, one about volunteering and
one about supported lodgings. This
boxes of information will each be
written in green, getting lighter from
left to right. They will also be in boxes.
Flatplan3-Bookmark
‘SASH’ will be the
main focal point of
the bookmark,
having the name
larger, bold and easy
to read will draw
attention to it, as
well as having it take
up half of the area.
The writing will be
white a green
outline, the green
will be bright so it
stands out apart
from the page.
The tagline ‘preventing youth
homelessness will be written
underneath the title, in a
handwritten style font. The
colour will white, standing apart
form the green background. I
was thinking of using either
Trashhand or PapaBear for the
font on this piece of writing as
these fonts are clear and easy to
read, but are till in a theme I
would like.
The image in the middle of the
bookmark will be of a sad and
homeless looking person, and
then the image will be
diagonally cut and the other half
will be of the same person
smiling and clean, no longer
homeless. The image will be
bright and eye catching.
SASH logo

corner
Email address and contact
number for SASH offices,
wrote in a dark green,
easy to read font.
A short blurb type piece of
information about what SASH do
and who they are, as well as
where you can find them. This
will be in an easy to read font
and will be in a paler green.
Flatplan4-Billboard
‘SASH’ will cover the majority of the billboard, therefore it
would have to be big, bold clear and interesting to look at.
Therefore for this I chose a more cartoon looking font, in
order to make it more unique and stand out amongst
others. The colour will be in white, against the green
background, the a dark green outline, making it stand out
even more. The font I've shown Is ‘cheeseburger’.
The SASH logo will be on the right hand side of
the billboard, next to the title. It will be very
larger, as this will help draw attention to the
advert.
The tagline ’preventing youth
homelessness together’ will be
directly underneath the title. Will
be in clear, bold easy to read
writing that can be seen from far
away. I have chosen Monofur
because its easy to see and will
stand out. This will be in white
writing.
A contact number for
SASH will be in the
bottom right hand
corner of the billboard,
once again written in a
dark green on a white
box background.
The
colour
of the
backgro
und will
go from
light to
dark, in
an
ombre
effect.
Flatplan5-Leaflet-Side 1
The title ‘SASH’ will be
towards the bottom of the
page, in big bold white
lettering. I have chosen the
font type ‘Kenzo’ for this as it
is easy to read and can be
seen clearly from far away.
The tagline ’preventing youth
homelessness together’ will
be directly underneath the
title. Will be in clear, bold easy
to read writing that can be
seen from far away. I have
chosen Monofur because its
easy to see and will stand out.
This will be in white writing.
I have decided that the
leaflet should be in the
shape of a house, I have
taken this idea from
SASH’s annual review. I
have chosen this ideas
because I think that it
makes the leaflet stand
out from any others on
a shelf. The house will
also be green, and any
writing will either be in
white or a darker green
to stand off the page.
The main part of this page will
be an image of a homeless teen,
I have chosen to do this to draw
in the audience. They will see
the image and feel empathy
towards the person, and most
likely read on. I don’t want the
image to be filled will alcohol or
drugs, because it gives off the
wrong impression about the
teens who need SASH’s help,
and I want this leaflet to be used
as a tool to gain more
volunteers, so putting an image
that gives off dangerous
connotations wont draw them
in, it will scare them off.
Therefore the homeless person
in the image will just look sad,
maybe a little mucky but that’s
it.
The logo for SASH will go at
the very top of the page,
immediately catching the
audiences attention.
Flatplan5-Leaflet-Side 2 The title and name of the charity ‘SASH’
will be at the top of the page, inside of
house shape, which reflects the logo of
SASH. The writing will be in white, and
the house shape will be pale green. The
font used will be easily readable and
clear, I have chosen ‘Kenzo’ again for it,
to keep continuity throughout both sides
of the leaflet.
The tagline will once again be
directly underneath the charity
saying ‘’preventing youth
homelessness together’’. This
time I want the word together to
be in a slanted font, drawing
attention to it, making the point
that SASH needs volunteers to
help them, as well as making it
seem a little bit more
intimate, showing an instant
relationship between SASH, the
volunteers and the persons
needing help. I will do this part
of the font in ‘’simple snails’’ and
the rest of the font in
‘’Champaign and limousines’’.
This area here will be where
I say what ‘SASH’ essentially
do. I will then elaborate and
say what they have done to
help people, and maybe give
an example. This will be
written in white, to stand
apart from the green
background of the page. The
font will be ‘Champaign and
limousines’ which will make
the fonts continuous
throughout both sides of the
leaflet.
Information about the
Nightstop service that
SASH provide. This will be
inside of a white box, with
dark green writing.
Information about the
Supported Lodging service
that SASH provide. This
will be inside of a white
box with dark green
writing.
This area will be all about
the volunteers, and how to
become one, will give a
small case study about
one of SASH’s volunteers.
Contact information for
SASH, will be in bright
green letting, against a
white background.
Image of a
volunteer and a
former
homeless person
who stayed with
them, happy and
smiling.
Flatplan6-Park bench advert
This main area would just be the word ‘SASH’ in
bold and clear lettering. The font will be easy to
read but also interesting, I think a cartoon like font
will draw in more attention, and having it in white, a
colour that contrasts against the green helps it
stand out even more. I have seen six ideas that I
think would help the SASH title stand out.
The tagline ’preventing
youth homelessness
together’ will be directly
underneath the title.
Will be in clear, bold
easy to read writing that
can be seen from far
away. I have chosen
Monofur because its
easy to see and will
stand out. This will be in
white writing.
Contact information
for SASH, will be in
bright green letting,
against a white box,
which will also have
a white background.
Flatplan7- Second Poster- with copy and images
Preventing youth homelessness together
At SASH, we work closely
with volunteers to provide
services that prevent
teenagers, who suddenly
find them selves
homeless, from sleeping on
the streets. These services
include nightstop, where
volunteers will take a
homeless teen into their
home for the night and
provide them with dinner
and breakfast. We also run
supported lodgings, for
homeless teens who need
somewhere to stay more
permanently.
If you wish to volunteer or need our help, contact us on 01904445433
This poster design is a way for me to focus
more on the actual content that would be
used on the product. On this poster design I
have kept the text to a minimum, only using
it to show what SASH do and to provide
contact information. The information given
in the large piece of text tells the audience
about the night stop service, supported
lodgings and how SASH work closely with
volunteers. I don’t like how simple and basic
this design is but I think that it is effective at
showing a possibility. I do really like the font
used for the title of the poster ‘SASH’ which
is ‘Komika Axis’ found on Dafont.com. I think
that this mock up shows how important
imagery Is. The image in the right hand side
of the poster, of the homeless teenage girl
draws in the audiences eye, making them
see the image and what the poster is
essentially going to be about. This is also not
the colour scheme I would chose to use, but
I was a good way to see how the amount of
green I had planned on using, would actually
look on a poster.

These services include nightstop, where volunteers will take a homeless teen into their home for the night and provide them with dinner and breakfast. We also run supported lodgings, for homeless teens who need somewhere to stay more permanently. If you wish to volunteer or need our help, contact us on 01904445433 This poster design is a way for me to focus more on the actual content that would be used on the product. On this poster design I have kept the text to a minimum, only using it to show what SASH do and to provide contact information. The information given in the large piece of text tells the audience about the night stop service, supported lodgings and how SASH work closely with volunteers. I don’t like how simple and basic this design is but I think that it is effective at showing a possibility. I do really like the font used for the title of the poster ‘SASH’ which is ‘Komika Axis’ found on Dafont.com. I think that this mock up shows how important imagery Is. The image in the right hand side of the poster, of the homeless teenage girl draws in the audiences eye, making them see the image and what the poster is essentially going to be about. This is also not the colour scheme I would chose to use, but I was a good way to see how the amount of green I had planned on using, would actually look on a poster.
