Learning from Preliminary to Final Project in Photoshop Skills
1. Looking back on Preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in progression from it to the full project? Looking back on my Preliminary task, I can see how much I have progressed from it to my finished coursework. I can see that my use of Photoshop improved hugely, I worked out how to used the tools much better, cutting around the images much better so that they look more professional. In my pre-lim I only used the fonts given to me in Photoshop, however in my final project, I used fonts from DaFonts, allowing me to have a much larger range of fonts, giving it a much more professional look to it. I also think that my choosing of colours is much better in my final project, they match up together much better whereas in my preliminary they don't. My understanding on how my magazine should be laid out increased hugely, in my preliminary I didn't have a good idea of how to lay things out, and although it took me quite a while to grasp it in my final piece, I think I did get my layout right in the end. Lastly in my preliminary, i didn't follow any magazine conventions, but in my final piece i did this and therefore i think it gives it a much more professional look.
