This document summarizes observations from the occultation of a star by the dwarf planet Eris on November 6, 2010. Observations were made from two sites in Chile and one in Argentina. The occultation data is consistent with Eris having a spherical shape with a radius of 1,163 km and a density of 2.52 g/cm3. No detectable atmosphere was observed, placing an upper limit on surface pressure of 1 nanobar. The observations indicate Eris has a high visible albedo similar to Pluto. The results show Eris to be comparable in size and composition to Pluto.
