  • When districts want to extend classroom learning online, they look to Blackboard applications to help them with their blended learning needs. When districts want to expand learning opportunities without being limited by time, space, or scheduling conflicts, they seek out starting a virtual school. When districts want to improve teacher quality, they look to putting their professional development online to make it more effective and affordable. When districts want to ensure every educator has up-to-date access to a standards-based curriculum, they look to online and collaborative curriculum management. Finally, when districts want to nurture an educational community, they seek out community engagement tools to encourage community and parental involvement.
