Mise en scene In the video ‘Hero of the Vay’ by ‘Metallica’ the mise en scene makes the viedo, it utilises an old and retro look, parodying the decaying spirit of Americana. The tv shows on tv are all old and dated being watched in an old house, wallpaper on the walls and the colour is all black and white, the lighting is very low key and dull. At the end electronic birds pop out of the main characters ears, these making it a modern, so the contrast between modern technology and retro style works really well, it captures the audience really well.
