This document outlines the calendar of activities for a virology course taught by Prof. Marilen M. Parungao-Balolong. It includes the schedule of lectures and laboratory exercises for each of the 17 weeks of the course. The lectures cover topics like viral structure, nomenclature, transmission, replication, viruses and cancer/vaccines. The corresponding laboratory exercises allow students to learn about viral structure, naming viruses, transmission, bacteriophages, replication, diagnostics and immunology. There are three examinations scheduled throughout the course as well as final presentations on assigned topics relating to vaccines or outbreaks.
2. PLENARY REPORT TOPICS:
1. Submit 3 abstracts from Journals of Virology (one set each for lecture and
laboratory; theory for lectures methodologies for laboratory)
2. Question shall be assigned (A = VACCINES; B = OUTBREAKS)
3. Group Preparation but only 1 will report (the teacher will randomly pick who will it
be)
