2. History of Warner Brothers
Founded: April 4, 1923, Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, United
States. Warner brothers target different ages, therefore, they produce a
widely ranged variety of genres.
The company’s name originates from the four founding Warner
brothers: Harry, Albert, Sam and Jack.
One of the first pictures they showed was Edwin S. Porter's The Great
Train Robbery, the first motion picture to tell a
definite story. By 1907, they were operating
from a converted store in New Castle,
Pennsylvania, which they named the Cascade
Theatre.

Time Warner is an American multinational media corporation
(headquarters in NYC). Conglomerate - A company that own other
smaller companies (synergies). The company ‘ Time Warner was
founded in 1990. They own three major companies – Warner Bros.,
HBO, New Line Cinema and Turner. Time Warner Inc. is the world's
second largest media company with
major Internet, publishing, film, telecommunications and
television divisions after Disney.
New Line Cinema, part of Warner Bros. Entertainment since 2008,
coordinates its development, production, marketing, distribution and
business affairs activities with Warner Bros. Pictures to maximize film
performance and operating efficiencies.
