1. How did you attract your audience? Target Audience
2. Target Audience #1 This middle aged policeman targets the audiences of 25 plus. Including an older generation actor increases the maturity of the film. Another example of a film showing older policeman could be Se7en or Die Hard franchise. By having an older actor we target a secondary audience of 25 plus as well as our primary audience of 15-24. By also having an attractive older man would attract a female audience in much the same way as Brad Pitt in Se7en and George Clooney in Syriana. This would widen the audience for our film.
3. Target Audience #2 Lou is the female protagonist in our film and we hope that teenage girls would identify and relate to her and therefore she would attract a female audience, which is traditionally a male dominated genre of film. We would hope she would attract the younger male audience as she is attractive and therefore traditionally, boys are attracted to female actresses. An example of this, is Paris Hilton in House of Wax who is used because she would attract a male target audience to watch the film. This is why we use Lou.
4. Target Audience #3 The three male teenagers represent the younger generation of male students. They also are a great attraction for the female gender. Indirectly they can be used as an advertisement campaign targeted at females. Hopefully, they would be encouraged to watch the film because of the male actors. Teenage males may watch the film because they can relate to them, because they are within the same age range.
5. Target Audience #4 By featuring an interrogation unit in our opening sequence, we immediately attempted to sell the film as a Thriller, the audience would know the film was about the police and this would help target fans of the thriller genre. As they know it will include possible murder, interrogation, intimidation and potential pressure. These are key elements to attract this type of audience.
