General Notes
Ability to pause – stop then start then pause
Are we all able to pause
Easy said than done
Is it theoretically done or could be practiced
What if you have anxiety or OCD or AAD and you think
you can pause
But; you don’t pause or listen
No words is better than uselessness words
Salience is sometimes the solution
3. What to do
So how to pause
It would have been very easy if you could ask someone to do this and
he would, pause or stop talking.
You have to try alone. Pause first from thinking
Ask yourself and answer yourself with a pause
Evaluate yourself then try with others and see the impact of the
change on them
And on your general outcome in life
If you don’t see or feel any change, then you were not able to pause
Pause before you answer for 3 second, maybe 10 it is up to you and
the situation
Befriend yourself and listen carefully to others most of the time
without replying
4. Materials & Studies
There are lots of materials and studies in reference to the
power or pausing.
Very useful at work, at planning, in negotiations, in sales and
certainly in personal matters and communication.
Keep a enough space between your nerves and the
interaction to an action. Place a pause in between these
two.
Likewise you will find lots of issues that would need a pause
You could even plan a pause in your planning
In education and teaching, in consulting and negotiations,
mediation and moderation.. Pausing is part of the power and
balanced power
