  6. 6. This page is dedicated to Michele Jeanette Carson 12/22/84 – 11/7/10November 7, 2010 a day that changed the lives of our family forever. I can’t believe it is going to be 2years since we lost our daughter Michele. Michele was so loved and we all miss her so much. She was taken from us at such a young age by a senseless murder. Michele was a loving young womanwith compassion for her family, friends and strangers. She had a tender heart and true empathy for thosewho were troubled or less fortunate than herself. She loved children and children just gravitated to her.Her whole life she hungered for knowledge, and just knew she wanted to give back. She was a collegegraduate and was about to continue her education working towards her Master’s degree. Her goal was towork with children to help lead them in a path to stay out of trouble as they grew older. We all know in ourhearts that Michele would have made a wonderful mom.Michele was murdered by someone she cared about very much, and by someone she believed caredabout her. She was strangled and her body had been set on fire in the Las Vegas desert. The utter shockand emotional despair our family has endured is truly indescribable and beyond any words. Our beautifulgirl was only 25 years old. Her murderer was her ex-boyfriend who is currently in jail awaiting trial in LasVegas. Reality is that this can happen to anyone. We pray that justice will be served someday. Now, we do all that we can to honor our daughter. Our family will do our best to reach out to as manypeople as possible and to raise awareness about domestic violence and victim’s rights. Although difficult,we will continue to share our tragedy of how much it has affected our lives. We do not want to see otherfamilies have to feel what we are going through. This has become a personal priority and we will reachout, support and speak out against domestic violence whenever possible. No matter how small thegesture we have to try and make this world a little better place to live.We love you Michele, you will always be in our hearts. We will meet again in heaven someday. With Love,The Carson Family
