2. My media product represents a particular social
group, this is because my magazine is aimed at a
certain type of music, indie.
3. Photographs
The ways in which I have presented my magazine as indie is by the images.
The images look indie with what they are wearing and their body language.
I think this image comes across indie with the
clothing she is wearing and her overall body
language.
The overall way she has presented
her self in this image and the
background makes the audience
wonder what she is doing.
The overall clothing that she is wearing
is fashionable indie clothing.
The shoes she is wearing are
indie, bands such as Blur and
Arctic Monkeys wear these type of
shoes.
4. This images comes across indie with the
stylish clothing he is wearing, Also the
style of his hair and the body language.
This picture is indie with his
overall clothing choice.
I like the overall background
and theme of this image, this is
because it lets the audience
know that he is from Liverpool.
I don't think the image makes
him look anymore indie than
he is but I think it gives the
audience a good idea on his
background and makes people
want to read more about him.
5. Language
The language I used in my magazine is informal as I
think it represents my social group, indie more.
6. Cover lines
• The reason I have presented my
cover lines in this language is
because I think informal would
attract more as my target audience
is 16- 28 years of age. I have also
wrote about indie bands in my
cover lines, this is because this will
attract people more than rock
bands or even band they don't
know about.
7. Colour
• I used the colours red, white and black thought out
my magazine because when i undertook my
questionnaire these were the most popular colours.
Also when looking at other indie magazines such as
Q and NME this was their colour scheme.
