AUSTRIAN CONCEPTS
We believe concept 1 is a winner because the mask base and its
elements could be efficiently packaged and consist of the same
material.
Also, we think that the mask base could consist of a grid, so that the
features can be placed freely.
Although we wish to encourage the children to create own mixes of
austrian creatures, we believe that using materials such as clay could
distract them into creating random masks, less related to the myths.
It is important to have the mask modules strongly relate to the
austrian folklore from an aesthetic point of view.
If you need more image material about the Krampus , Perchta,...we
can provide some for you.

GRASS HARMONICA
We enjoyed the fact that you noticed that many of the creatures make
loud noises and decided to include it to the children’s creative process.
Yet, the harmonica itself is not that relevant in austrian culture.
Nonetheless, we would suggest keeping the idea in mind as a sound
add-on for Concept 1, though less music focused.

DARK CAVE
We enjoyed the subtleness that involded surpassing fear, to be
rewarded in the end.
However, me thought that the aesthetic carrier of austrian folklore
went missing and that it left little oppurtunity for the children to
children to customise.

BREAST PLATE
We liked the duality of the object and again the sound aspect.
Yet we believe it would be more of a fashion accessoire, probaly best
made out of metalic material and more suitable for older teens.
