Classroom Specialist Stay current with best practices that integrate technology into the classroom and ensure that campus personnel is current and finding ways to implement these practices Network Manager/Engineer Ensures electronic access to academic resources in support of the curriculum and providing teachers with reliable network connectivity and attempt to provide the highest level of support possible. Principal Pursue funding strategies to provide the necessary technology, professional development, technical support, equipment upgrades, and equipment maintenance to achieve educational goals. Determine expectations for teachers in regard to their use of technology in their classrooms. Professional Development Plan Activity Purpose Description Steps Student Data Analysis (TRT-TAKS Released Test) To improve gathering, analysis, and use of data from a variety of sources Participants will analyze student TRT data reports from the district to compare campus and district performance create a plan that will strengthen instructional needs 1. Intermediate teachers from the same grade level and subject areas will form groups 2. District and Campus reports will be presented to teachers that include middle-of-year district and campus data for the TRT 3. Group members will identify objectives that proved to be a campus weakness in comparison to the district 4. Members will then create an activity(s) that includes technology use that will improve student performance for the objectives Staff Data Analysis (STaR Charts) To improve gathering, analysis, and use of data from a variety of sources Participants will analyze STaR Chart data from the state and surrounding schools in the district to determine technology needs 1. Participants will be shown the Texas STaR Chart slide presentation 2. Statewide and campus data will then be analyzed to determine campus strengths and weaknesses 3. Participants will form groups to work together to formulate a plan that will improve campus weaknesses

Professional Development Plan (continued) Activity Purpose Description Steps Technology Partnerships To improve decision making in the integration of technology with instructional and organizational leadership New and veteran teachers will create partnerships to come up with a plan that will best integrate technology into the curriculum 1. One new and one veteran teacher who teach the same content area will form a partnership 2. Partners will work together to plan lessons or activities for content area objectives that will successfully teach the lesson and integrate technology Planning for Technology Integration To improve decision making in the integration of technology with instructional and organizational leadership Participants will have the opportunity to come up with a plan that will remove the barriers of integrating technology into teaching and learning 1. A needs assessment will be conducted to determine what changes or additions will assist teachers in the effort to integrate technology into the teaching and learning process 2. After results of the needs assessment are revealed, groups of four will work together to come up with suggestions of how to make two changes or additions possible on the campus 3. Suggestions from groups will be voted upon and put into a comprehensive plan that will remove barriers to integrating technology
