 In the back of the room, there is a
volunteer sheet for parent helpers. We
need helpers for several occasions
throughout the year.
 Field Trips ( December 5th and April 19th)
 Holiday Parties (October 31st and
February 14th)
Homework
 Students will have some homework

2. every night. The amount depends on
how much they accomplish during class
time.
 Homework might consist of-
 Math worksheets
 Spelling worksheets
 Reading assignments
 Heath or Science worksheets
 Social Studies worksheets
Spelling
 Every week the class will begin a new
spelling list. Monday through Thursday
the students will have different
assignments with the words. On
Fridays, there will be a test over these

3. words.
 I would appreciate it if you go over the
word with your child at least once during
the week, preferably on Thursday nights
before the test.

 In class, there will always be a book
that we will read as a whole.
 Also, the students will be broken up into
reading groups and read books with
their group.
