The Polish Parliament consists of the Sejm (lower house) with 460 members serving 4-year terms, and the Senate (upper house) with 100 members also serving 4-year terms. The President of Poland is the head of state elected to a 5-year term, with powers including dissolving Parliament, nominating the Prime Minister, and representing Poland internationally. The current President is Andrzej Duda and current Prime Minister is Ewa Kopacz.

branch. In addition, the president has a right to
dissolve the parliament in certain cases, and
represents Poland in the international arena.
