INTRODUCTION TO FINACLE

CORE BANKING SOLUTION
CBS stands for Core Banking Solution or Centralized banking
solution.
CORE stands for "centralized online real-time exchange".
Which means “online service provided through a centralized
server”.
This basically means that all the bank's branches access
applications from centralized server installed at data centre.
The software accepted by different banks including our bank
is Finacle which has been developed by Infosys.
Finacle       is    designed       with      service-oriented-
architecture(SOA)
It is a multi channel, multi currency & multi country enabled
technology.
OBJECTIVES

•   To compete with other banks
•   To arrest the threat from high net worth
    customers
•   To attract new generation techno savvy
    customers
•   To improve payment and settlement system
•   To monitor in a better way and improving
    MIS and reporting system
•   To provide better customer service

   User ID – First „Initials of Name' then „0‟ then
    „PF No.‟ i.e., dm045347

   User group:-
   General Users: who perform the regular
    banking functions and front office functions at
    Branches.

   System Operators / Database
    Administrators: Those employees executing
    system related functions at DIT.

   Inspections & Audit: This user group
    performs routine inspection and carries out the
    audit in the bank.
   Accessibility of User:

   Captive User: These users can access the
    data belonging to his / her service outlet
    alone but can inquire on the accounts
    belonging to other SOL.

   Free User: These users can access the data
    belonging to all service outlets. Accessing all
    menu options also depends on whether the
    menu is free or not. Normally, in each branch
    two senior most officers are given “Free
WORK CLASS
   Each user have been assigned with a Work class.
   The work class is associated with the menu options available in the
    application.
   Different persons of the same category can be assigned with
    responsibilities with reference to the application by assigning different
    work class.

 OFFICE ACCOUNTS

  Each account has to be opened under a
  Scheme Type and a Scheme Code
  There are 9 scheme types for opening
  customer accounts
   5 scheme types for office accounts
